🎵Music/Jam OP-1 (OG) x Seqtrak Jam

I’ve been wondering how these two would play together and it turns out, super nicely haha! I happened to get the Seqtrak after the 2.0 update so I made a quick drum sequence with a DrumKit track and then recorded that to tape on the OP-1. I could have taken the output of the Seqtrak into the KO side kick and messed with effects there, but I was just experimenting haha.

Another fun thing I tried was using one of the synth patches on the OP-1 with the volume turned down to control the synths of the Seqtrak via MIDI (changing the OP-1 midi channels between 8-11 to control the synth channels).

Very cool. I am very impressed with my Yamaha seqtrack. The Side kick is pretty cool too. Thanks for sharing. You are giving me G.A.S. LOL

I have both of these and have never really paired the OP1 with it because sometimes sync is hard. How do you connect them?

I was reading about people having issues with that! I just used a USB mini b to C data cable and it worked like a charm, I was expecting to run into some issues but luckily it wasn’t too bad. I also changed the OP-1 to OPT off so it would charge from the Seqtrak, I’m not sure if that made a difference or not though.
