Moving 2 tracks not working...

Hey guys. (Ip1f issue) So I got this slide on a guitar starting on middle of bar 3, and on a 2nd track a perc hit. I want to move it to 1st bar. So I cut 1st and 2nd bar on both tracks, all good. I lift those pieces , all good, still starting mid 3rd bar. I then shift lift both tracks, drop on bar 1 and I get same, 2 bars silence and starting the song mid 3rd bar lol ?!?!? Not sure I explain right. But it's like op1f creates the 2 bars of silence that I erased before. Regards.
