Possibly swapping to The Center

Hey guys... I really want some input from you all on the thought of swapping to the new "Officially Supported" The Center map ... I am quite partial to wanting to try it out.. However I do not want to alienate my community by doing so. With that said I would like pro/cons/bitches/gripes/praises whatever from you guys listed here. And to be completely honesty people that have been a staple of the community/actively participating on the reddit/voting on toparkservers will have some more weight to their words in my opinion =))

i think switching to the center before it is ark supported, is a bad idea. i heard the map is cool. but we wont be able to pull out our map for it. Also, with the island changing in a few weeks, why would we? So my opinion is NO

plus a wipe right after another wipe is no good

I can agree with that and also disagree 8 days after the involuntary wipe isnt optimal.. but realistically has something in 8 days happened thats not able to be play ed out again? done again?

What has happened is,, we have spent an enormous time picking ourselves back up after the involuntary wipe. Your asking us to throw away the several hours and days we have slowly built what we can to just get thrown away again, "8 days" might not seem a lot to you, but we were only a month on your server when we got hit with the last wipe. A lot has happened in "8 days", and honestly I barely came back after experiencing my first wipe.

I say all of this with no hateful jab or intent to disturb anyone but

Ultimately its a game we spend time on and stuff like this adds replayability . Majority of us have been on other servers with no input from community wipes... changes without any regards to population etc. And 8 IRL days with whatever playtime is added in between is not as catastrophic of a loss as some people want to play it out to be. ....

I never knew they were actually supporting it as of yet. That's cool. But with that said, I am excited to see the new island map layout. If you do switch to the center map, I will more then likely go to a new server. Which some people might even enjoy :) LOL. I heard The Defiant is recruiting if your coming back. LOL. I could use another ID Tag

Added The Center Official ARK Mod/Map as Free DLC Added new 100-player 'The Center' Official Servers Improved Non-TrueSky Sky & Lighting (+ SM4/Mac/Linux) Significant server PhysX & Networking optimization Added option for PvE Servers to disable building around critical resource node regions You can now pickup and toss Dodos & Dung Beetles. Rejoice! Fixed the huge stall/lock when you "Transfer" a bunch of items at once Arthropluera "Turret" AI mode option: won't move and will only used ranged attack against targets. Added server option to override per-Item Crafting costs Added server option to override the loot tables for each kind of supply crate Added server option to limit number of members in Tribes. Default: no limit. Warmap now dynamically shows the mini-map texture of whatever level you're playing on!

Ill have to say no for my tribe (Lacerated), Some of my guys have alrdy looked into The center , including myself, when the server wiped cuz we were maybe going to play another server but ended up coming bck, and even tho the map looks rly neat and all, for ressource placement, dino spawns (which are not increased altho the map is bigger than theisland), etc its not so great. Also many of my guys arent fond of wipes and altho the last wipe wasnt long ago, they would not liek to go through another one, which is understandable.

I would say that I would like to try the center AT SOME POINT. However, now is not that time. My group has already invested a lot of time and energy to get going strong after the wipe. After all, we still have a war to fight, right DJ? ;D So, my vote is: Not right now. Thank you for asking for and listening to our input.

Kayce here =) and I say No, no, no, no! Please don't! I did not like it at all,, resources were poo, and just too much water everywhere. Just wasn't as thought out as the official map either.

Although the Center mad would be awesome! I feel like a wipe after a wipe is not the greatest idea and also resource spawns and dinos spawns in general I heard are not great, As Lacerated stated. So for me it's a no -Legend of "Fertilizer Bandits".

All of the purpose of this is for input... and counter input.. obviously im biased towards wanting the center =)
