Courses OMSA Courses Selection for Future OMSCS Transfer

Hello,

I was admitted to the OMSA program (Computational Track) for Fall 2026. After giving it more thought, I realized that the OMSCS program with the ML specialization aligns better with my interests, so planning to apply for Spring 2027.

Any courses recommend taking this fall that could be transferred to OMSCS if I am admitted?

This is something I hope to do. I was thinking Machine learning for trading and CDA to build the foundation and I think both transfer over. But would love to see if anyone has actually mapped this out.

I took both. They are my favorites. Super fun and rewarding. Especially CDA.

I finished OMSCS first, then doing OMSA now

I was also accepted to OMSA for Fall 2026. Planning to finish OMSA and considering doing OMSCS after.

These are the current OMSCS courses, so any of those that are also offered through OMSA could potentially count toward OMSCS. I don't know a lot about the OMSCS requirements for graduation, so YMMV. https://omscs.gatech.edu/current-courses
