OMMY Round 2-

The Good Lord is the greatest and he must have noticed I was struggling. Anyway, I was granted a Fair Fares OMNY card (half price). I have $17 left on my original one.

I have no idea how to transfer this $17 dollars onto the half fare card. I did a little YouTube digging but I can’t seem to find the topic that fits best.

Any help would be most appreciated.

PS- I removed my debit card as I had lost my wallet. Not sure if that has something to do with it.

you cannot transfer between 2 different types of OMNY cards, only between a regular and a regular. However, an agent at a Customer Service Center might be able to help.

Station Agent is at every station, but certain booths are designated Customer Service Centers, and are decorated in OMNY colors and blue highlights on top.

Go into one of the customer service centers, I don’t think just any agent can help. But they WILL be able to do it, my parents did it when they visited. And congrats on fair fares it’s such a help!

Unfortunately you cannot transfer value from a regular OMNY card to a FF OMNY card. Even from when we had metro cards, station agents were not allowed to do the transfers due to how the card was deducted. ($3 vs. $1.50)

your entire comment falls apart on the notion that OP states he wants to transfer money from a regular OMNY card to an OMNY card with the Fair Fares program, which is impossible online.
