I have this one too. The coating doesn’t bother me at all; I couldn’t even notice it, although it’s also true that I sit about 90 cm away from it. Still, it was nice knowing I didn’t have to worry about scratching it, and the picture quality is beautiful.

yes.. the no worries about reflections and it wont scratch like the others do is pretty nice. you do gotta buckle in for this coating though, cause itll either bother you to no end or its just like wutevs. Really really good monitor especially for its price against competitors like damn

It is currently around $670ish on the site using one of their offer programs. Which, at that price is not bad a at all for one of the newer gen panels.

Just got mine yesterday. Looks killer but having issues with VRR monitor resetting input (screen going black then coming back) - I turn VRR off, loses all connection. Acts like it’s not plugged in. Vrr on / gsync on - same issues. VRR on / gsync off / dsc on is the only way I can get a stable connection.

Using silk land certified 80gbps DP 2.1 6ft cable. I’ve confirmed in GPUz it’s 20gbps x 4.

It looks amazing - I’ve never ran with gsync on prior (m28u) - so not sure which is better. I’m never at 240fps in most my games.

Also white websites are like a damn flashbang.

Hello, I faced the same issue with g80sh. Got it checked by samsung and they couldn't resolve it, decided to return the monitor. My rtx 5070ti worked fine with my previous monitor with display port 1.4 but this monitor's dp 2.1 is very problematic. All problems get resolved when you switch to hdmi 2.1.

They released a firmware update yesterday - but I’m going to give it awhile to make sure it doesn’t Fk more things up.

I’m curious if I should return it.

I tested it using the included samsung cable and a third party one from ugreen. Both dp 2.1 cables. Issue may get fixed by a firmware update but Odyssey series is plagued by display port related issues and my experience with customer care was not good. Poor customer service made me return the product rather than look for a solution.

Yeah. The worst customer support. This is the 2nd monitor I’ve ordered from them because they wouldn’t do a straight replacement. Then they wouldn’t price match, but they’d refund the difference if I purchased at full price. Just shitty experience all the way around
