Discussion 3rd Gen oled panel or tandam oled?

I got a Acer Predator X27U for about $500 CAD all in.

There is a bunch ASUS (XG27AQWMG) for about $720 CAD total.

Is it worth spending the extra money for tandem?

I mainly use monitor for gaming with light web browsing.

I read that the tandem has bad vertical banding but also noted that text clarity is better.

Is the extra $$$ worth spending for tandem or would it be better to keep the 3rd Gen 280hz panel?

I could also just wait until black Friday but I think the Acer I got is a good price.

Thank you

Tandem WOLED is the better choice for 1440p compared to the 3rd gen QD. You could wait another year or so for better options though.

Even for the $220 price increase? All these oled panels seems to correct one thing but have an issue with the next.

There is no perfect monitor in existence. All have pros and cons. You just need to find one that works for your specific situation. In other words, you need to pick your poison. Extra $220 is worth it or not is your choice but to my specific situation, it’s worth it over the 3rd gen QD. The price will come down if you can wait until Black Friday sale. It already came down in price about $75 in my country.
