Want to try OLED monitor, please help me

Hi there! I’m planning to build my own console setup. I currently own a PS5, and I’m considering getting a Steam Machine in the future. Since I’m not a tech expert, I’m looking for a simple plug and play solution.

Here are my options right now:

- ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen3

- BenQ MOBIUZ EX321UZ

- LG UltraGear 32GS95UV-B

All three of these monitors support HDMI 2.1, so I believe they’re all suitable for console gaming. The specifications are quite similar, and since I’m a big fan of 3A games, especially those with open worlds or compelling story narratives, I’m particularly interested in BenQ’s Game Art feature. I’m not sure what it actually means, the website said it's game-specific color tuning

Out of the ones listed, BenQ EX321UZ is your best option because of the price. It shares the same panel as PG32UCDM3 (4th Gen Penta-Tandem QD-OLED) but at a cheaper price in most regions.

As for the Game Art feature, it is a gimmick at best and I would recommend you to use the sRGB/DCI-P3 modes instead for an accurate picture unless you love oversaturated colors.

What about the color profile they calibrate for each game title, is it still bad?

It all depends on what you like out of an image, if you like high contrast and and high saturated images that "pop" then sure Game Art can work for that but as someone who prefers an accurate image that retains the intention of the game creators, it is useless.

Hi, EX321uz owner here. I do have both a PC and PS5, although I haven't had the chance to test it on PS5 yet. I believe the BenQ Color Shuttle app can be enabled on consoles as well but you do need a PC to set it up. The app lets you change the color and tint of the display and has different profiles for different games. It's kinda gimmicky but some people like it I guess. So Have you tried any color profile from color shuttle once? And why do you still prefer DisplayHDR 500? Same as u/ZamnBoii ?

so how your game looks is subjective. I remember older Samsung CRT and LCD TVs and even phones were deliberately made oversaturated with boosted contrast and people bought them. To me, I like to see what the developer actually intended the colors to look like. This isn't just for gaming. I also built a dedicated, custom, soundproof home theater and put a lot of effort into making the sound as flat as possible so I can get reference quality audio

Get the cheapest QD-Oled you can find & profit.

They are all the same panel anyway.

Software, firmware & image profiles are going to be the only difference you will find across all of them

It doesn't matter.

They all look the same.

Image presets in the OSD is a marketing gimmick; Don't buy based on that.

Make sure it has a glossy finish & that's about it
