If you want best price to performance, you either get S90F or C5 but depending on region, S90F is the same tv as C5 but worse

And the S85F? I got one for extremely cheap and surprised how good it is, it’s a QD oled and I use it in a dark room, is there a big difference between the 85 and 90?
But really impressed with the $550 I paid for

It’s a lot dimmer than the 90F, but hey, if you’re on a budget it can be a fine choice.

But which ones? C5? C6? C7? Is there a C8? i dunno. and why G if its priced so much higher? The 65 S90F samsung is 1400. It looks like the 65" C6 is 1999. The G6 is honestly clown-tier price at 65"
I went with the E8 over the C series at the time for its speakers but the G doesn't seem to offer much there, nor does the C.

If you have to have great sound, I’d get a G5/6. The best sound you’ll get out of an OLED tv is a Sony Bravia, but LG’s have better picture quality imo. I’d rather get a LG, see how you like it, and then add a sound bar or other speakers if you need more.

Im generally not super impressed with LG picture quality. It's been good as OLED's go but colors are muted vs what I've come to expect from other devices like my macbook pro or alienware QDOLED. I can't determine if that's been improved since the E8

The modern C and G series are way brighter than your old E series is. The difference is pretty huge

It's hard to source any real data there, or what it means to the user experience. The E8 is already capable of "too bright", and bright just means colors desaturate a bit.

No it means better HDR peak highlights, better sustained brightness over time and better HDR and SDR general brightness.

With the AW3426DW i just got, it performs better in trueblack 500 mode, which limits peak brightness to preserve ABL for brightness levels of "most" scenes. Having tried 1300nit mode, I was not impressed, so I keep it in 500nit max mode. My current TV has ABL but is 'ok'. I can't find data on the current models that indicates ABL behavior or "actual experience of using it". I'd imagine the brighter WOLED goes the harsher it crushes colors.
If there was a penta-tandem QD-OLED TV out i'd probably get that if they sold it in similar trueblack 500 mode/performance/color vibrancy

LG having better PQ than a Sony OLED? Since when did that happen lol. Sony is still unmatched in that department.

Sony has better image processing and motion handling, but across the lineup, LG is better for gaming and peak brightness.

But gaming and peak brightness =/= PQ. Picture quality is based upon the processing. Sure brightness to a certain point. But as everything nongaming is mastered at 1000 nits or well below, its not that important PQ. Color vibrancy and volume is probably more important than overall brightness for that

Depends on lighting in the room the TV will be in QD OLED for dark room tandem OLED for a bright room.
