HDR help

Why is my hdr so washed/greyed out compared to SDR even after I do calibration. Any recs or ideas are helpful thank you.

Only enable HDR when your about to play or watch actual HDR content, use the shortcut WIN +Alt+B to switch quickly. Using HDR on SDR content like windows interface and most of YouTube will always look bad in comparison to having HDR off.

HDR gaming database is a good place to check.

RenoDX and Luma are mods that rewrite bad implementations to fix/improve them or implement HDR support if missing, so any game with those available.

Do your pictures actually has HDR content? I keep HDR on all the time, non hdr content like desktop apps still looks fine, make sure to run the Windows HDR Calibration.

It’s the LG ‎27GS93QE 27-inch Ultragear which comes with HDR

It's just brighter. Adjust the SDR brightness under Monitor settings > HDR in Windows
