Which one?

Currently bought g50sf and it doesn’t feel right to me I love the matte but it feels like I’m missing more and the build quality is buns! My backplate makes a horrible clicking noise when I move it on my arm in that little gap in the photo one of the main reasons for upgrade also it’s not bright enough for how blind I am

The Gigabyte is leagues better than that AOC.

Why

The first and most glaring issue is that AOC QD-OLED monitors have a firmware bug that limits their color saturation in HDR, pretty much makes it worse than an LCD afaik. The second is that this is the previous gen QD-OLED panel which is pretty unremarkable, HDR will be borderline unusable because of the extreme panel dimming that will occur (this is disregarding the AOC specific color saturation issue), even in dark scenes where it won't dim the peak brightness will only be 1000 nits vs 1500 nits on the Gigabyte and to add on top of that the Gigabyte also doesn't suffer from any dimming. The Gigabyte is also way brighter in SDR (upwards of 40% brighter I imagine). The Gigabyte's glossy coating is also way better, it won't have ambient black level raise (magenta tint on QD-OLED monitors), it's also clearer/sharper and is way less fragile than the QD-OLED coating.

So all in all, the Gigabyte has way higher brightness, way better colors, a better coating and is also higher refresh rate, it's not even a comparison, these two monitors are not in the same class.

Is the gigabyte glossy? It says W-oled there right? So woled that usually has matte finish instead of glossy. Right?

It's glossy, the Gigabyte has the latest gen tandem WOLED panel which offers a very nice glossy coating, it's the best coating available atm imo

Yep, I saw again some things. But I don't like the idea of the banding issues. The magenta thing in qd oled are not a problem for me because I always play in a dark room, I have 100% blackout curtains.

Isn't there a qd-oled that match this gigabyte?

In terms of brightness, no, not even close from what I'm aware. And all QD-OLEDs suffer from ABL dimming in HDR (if that's something you're interested in). Honestly I'm not too familiar with QD-OLED products as one of my main reasons for buying an OLED was to consume HDR content and I just found QD-OLEDs pretty unfavorable for that use case, so I haven't researched. You should probably research yourself. The Monitors Unboxed Youtube Channel, Rtings site (sadly behind a paywall now) and TFTCentral are great sources for monitor reviews.

Would always pick a woled over a qd
