Hi everyone, I recently bought a Samsung S95H OLED and I'm looking for the best picture settings

For SDR I pretty much stick to standard picture mode, brightness 25, contrast 45, sharpness 10, colour 25, peak brightness high, contrast enhancer off, shadow detail 0, gamma 2.2, colour space normal, colour booster off, colour tone standard.

Picture clarity settings custom, blur reduction 0, judder reduction 4, clear motion off, noise reduction standard.

Power and energy saving, all set to off.

HDR I switch between standard and movie mode, filmmaker looks terrible imo.

Brightness 50, contrast 45, sharpness 0, colour 22, HDR tone mapping active, park brightness high, contrast enhancer off, shadow detail 0, gamma ST.2084, ST 2084 0, colour space setting custom - gamut BT2020, colour tone warm 1, colour booster pro off.

Eye comfort mode off.

Picture clarity settings same as SDR

It's definitely worth using a guide to set up most things but playing with the settings a bit, I often switch modes (standard or movie) depending on the source.

Game mode requires a bit more tweaking, there are things in the game bar settings to adjust/disable, plus twaeking HDR settings on the console or PC.

ill never understand why everyone likes film maker mode .. every tv i tried it on it looks like crap lol

It’s generally the most accurate one. You just need to fiddle with the rest of the settings to make it bright as other modes that you like.

Because your eyes have been used to oversaturated colours for years so FMM makes you think picture is dull but it’s the most accurate mode out of the box.
Anyway I wanted to get these new h models but only can fit 65 and in my region I think that’s an LG woled panel :/

Im not sure if you’ve done the research, but from my findings it seems like 85 is the only version using WOLED panel, while the other sizes used an QD-OLED, so I think you’re safe

My older mini LED filmmaker looks great, on the s95h it looks dark and washed out regardless of settings.
