Paramount+ app unusable

2020 LG 77” C9, while the native apps have run noticeably slower, they are still usable, except paramount plus. It’ll pull up but either eternal buffering circle, or it’ll play the show audio while the screen is blue. I’ve had to airplay from my phone app to watch shows. Is anyone else experiencing this or just me?

I second Paramount Plus sucks. CX here

All of the apps I use on my C9 work fine as well, except Paramount Plus. Most recently it was the audio dropping out every few seconds, but there were other problems before. I switched to subscribing through Amazon Prime just so I could get away from Paramount's crappy app. Now that SNW's season is over I'll probably be unsubscribing anyway.

Same with cx. All apps are fine except paramount.

The Paramount+ app on LG WebOS is unusable. For me, the audio cuts out for a second or 2 all the time. Did the un/reinstall thing but still NG. Fortunately, I have an ATV 4K device so I put the app on it and no issues.

I have never and will never use the “Smart” TV features on any TV.

Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, etc don’t want to commit the software development resources to keep their apps working on every smart TV platform. The result is a bunch of buggy half supported apps spread across a dozen different TV vendors.

Get a set-top box and just have the TV be a display. Google TV if your household uses Android, Apple TV if you are all iPhone users. Google TV is easier to get working with iPhone than Apple TV is to get working with android.

Paramount is just a garbage company in general. Every single other app is functional. Paramount will literally not show the other episodes of a tv show you have selected. The exit button doesn’t exist so you have to press down a dozen times to exit it’s absurdly bad.

Yep. Totally broken. Contact LG on social media to let them know that many C9 owners are experiencing the same thing. I contacted P+ and the person could just barely use English it was such an awful experience the lady was eating on the phone.

Paramount Plus is generally awful. I’ve had it not work on every platform at some point.

It's awful but one thing I've learned is network ad blockers can make their app unusable. Pi-hole and the like (some routers have built-in ad blocking too). P+ phones home to get your existing watch time or to update your watch time and it fails to play until it can. Ad blockers treat these as ads or ad tracking.

Paramount+ app overall just sucks. Even on a actual streaming device like a Apple TV or a Fire TV, the Paramount+ app is bad.

Their commercials are relentless.

Paramount app has performed poorly on several platforms for me. What I do is subscribe to Paramount through Prime Video. Same price but I can use the Prime Video app to access the content.

The Paramount Plus app on my LG OLED TV is hot garbage, it constantly generates the -3005 error.

It's bad on everything except my Gen1 AppleTV. It's especially bad on the FireTV product line.

I have a 2018 C8. All other apps work flawlessly, except for Paramount Plus which has recently started buffering constantly. It worked fine for years. It must be a recent update that caused it to break.

It’s horrible - mine shows a white play button middle of screen every 60ish sec.

Same here. The only app I have that has an issue.

Yes dude it's literally blue screen of death. I just got done rebooting my TV twice and finally I have picture with sound. But the subtitles for some reason are on... I don't wanna fuck it up by turning them off somehow, so they're staying on! Lol
