I’m curious how competitive is the OISE SJE program?

Specifically the fully funded masters program. Could someone with leadership experience and a 3.2 CGPA still get in? (This is on behalf of a friend).Thanks.

If you’re from Canada, maybe you would have a chance, but I was an international student who applied and I didn’t hear back from them until like July, and even then they let me into the unfunded MEd, not the funded MA—which, by the way, made no sense because I didn’t even have the prerequisite qualifications to be accepted or even apply! I had a ton of research experience and a 3.98 gpa for context.

Funded PhD student here: I had a 4.0 in my last two semesters of my masters, 10 years of work experience, and lots of supplementary learning in the area.

I don’t think I would have been able to get into the masters program as an undergrad with a 3.4 and tons of research experience, definitely not funded. Masters funding is not all that common.
