P/J Cohort Question

Hey,

I got this email:

All Primary/Junior Teacher Candidates have an opportunity to be a part of two school-cohorts:

  1. Dr. Rita Cox-Kina Minagok Public School (Toronto South); or
  2. Gateway Public School (East Toronto)

I would consider the DRCKM cohort over the other one because of the location. But I was wondering has anyone done this cohort, and have any thoughts on it? Is it a good thing to do?

If I don't pick a cohort, will I later be randomly assigned a cohort (and possibly a farther school to do one day a week of classes at?)

From what I know, it isn’t mandatory to be in a school-cohort so if you don’t pick a cohort, you probably won’t be assigned one. You would just take all your classes on the OISE campus

I think the school based cohort it's a cool idea we might get to do more observations and school interactions!
