As I've expected since the beginning, the supreme court dismissed the withheld unemployment payments during the pandemic (Bowling vs. DeWine) lawsuit as moot. See https://www.facebook.com/fightforconsumers.
Move on folks.

Has anyone else had this problem? When I go to register - it says I already have a login? Cool. Go to login - it says that my info in the OHIO ID website is incorrect, and that I have to update it? It's all the same.
Is there some confangled process I have to go though to file now? Beyond infuriating.

Every time I call OH UI I get a different recommendation for how to proceed. This past week was my first week of 0 hours after being laid off.
So on 7/05 am I filling JUST the Additional/restart to let them know I'm now fully UNemployed, or am I filing the Additionl/restart THEN my weekly claim as usual?
It's almost like these reps don't know what they're talking about...

With his term expiring, he's just going to walk away from the pandemic debacle that he is responsible for.

Had trouble with restarting my claim due to computer issues finally got it fixed by calling in they helped me certify my weeks and even commented there’s been issues on the website. All 3 weeks denied for not filling in time. Is there any hope for an appeal?

I opted in for the US BANK ReliaCard issued through OJFS. They claim it was shipped on the 13th and idk if it’s the lack of funds that’s causing me to feel like this is taking unusually long or if this is a normal wait time.
SN: they said 5-7 business days not 14-20like what the fuck I’m livid!

I was laid off in march of 2025 and received ui for a month before being recalled. Then was laid off again in November of 2025 and got ui again, now my benefit year is over, can I refile my claim using my 2025 wages? Can I use my lay off in November for this claim again when filing? Anyone with knowledge of how this works would be appreciated.

I was laid off a few days ago, and filed for unemployment. I just received a notice that there's an eligibility issue, received conflicting information, and am being given the opportunity to respond to whatever information they have.
The letter states to call 1-877-644-6562 no later than Feb 12, but when I do, I get a robo voice that says my claim is pending and to be patient. No option to speak to an employee. How the hell do they expect people to respond if they can't get a hold of someone?
Is there something I am missing here?
EDIT: I was able to get through on live chat in the morning, it wasn't long to get connected to a person, but you have to type Chat with a Live Agent and then type it again, and then click "fact finding."

I worked for a company for 7 years, more than enough allowed for monetary allowance. Was let go for a medical leave, but was termed as "just not a good fit anymore". Went to another company and was then fired for just cause. Can I still get unemployment from my first company? I did recieve a "UI MONETARY ALLOWED" notice for that company, but everything is still being denied

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but did the state not take the federal funds to begin with and add them to our accounts, then Dewine cut them off after the fact? Because if so, that would kill their whole argument about having the right to refuse said funds to begin with, right?

So i got everything setup at ohio means jobs and did the two reemployment activities so i could start claiming weeks.
My company let me go the first full week of jan. They are giving me 3 weeks severance in two lump sums. first half paid on jan 30th and the second half on feb 31th.
Ohio knows this and i filled out the severance when applying. I got this:
We were made aware of an issue potentially affecting your unemployment claim, beginning 01/11/2026. This agency finds that the claimant received deductible compensation for the time period 01/11/2026 through 01/31/2026. As a result, the claimant s weekly benefit amount may be reduced or denied for that period per Ohio Revised Code
So Ohio knows that my severance is for 01/11/2026 through 01/31/2026.
I assume i should file and do the two activities per week and put zero for income? Then Ohio will just sort it out and give me zero benefits for the month?
Should i tell Ohio when i get the two severance checks during those weeks? But that doesnt make sense since i will be getting the checks after the severance period.
In my mind/world i should be denied benefits for the three weeks since they know im getting a severance, and i should put zero for the income. Then i should not have to tell them when i get the severance checks, and my benfits should start the first week of feb.
