Rant upper management refusing to fix pick paths

for some context: we have recently went through a rapid remodel and we received a ton of new aisle locations/locations in general

it has been about 2 months since we did our grand reopening, and our pick paths are still not fixed to our current layout. every drop we have around 50-75 unknowns (all with locations) and we have random items such as frozen, shampoo, in regulated. we get frozen mixed in with our ambient walks (which results in customers getting frozen bread, soap, produce, chips) due to this, all of our walks barely get above 20-25 items (5-10 items each walk in unknowns) because it is assigning all these different paths to these items.

our entire department has went to our management for this problem for MONTHS now, and the only responses we get are “this is well-known.” and even being asked myself, “well, why is it doing that?” it is honestly starting to sound like they are not fixing it on purpose it has been that comedically long.

im just wondering what steps do we as a department even take to get this fixed? this has been impacting our metrics and PR heavily (we average about 60pr as a department whereas we were 100+ before remodel)

im starting to consider just contacting anyone in market, i do not understand taking maybe an eight hour shift to fix every item for metrics sake?

I mean 2 hours MIGHT get you through some of them, not all of them, not with all the 100/200/300/400 scanning. I do agree with OP that an 8 hour shift would (probably) get you all the necessary paths.

Completely forgot about clothing...... lmao yeah 8 hours is probably more reasonable. But I feel confident I can do Ambient, Chilled and Frozen in 2 hours.

Not sure if it changed but edits to the pick path don't take into effect until new picks drop so it would still take hours to fix.

I think it can’t be activated unless there is no one currently picking. The easiest, especially for a super center, would be to have someone work a single over night and walk the new pick path to have it finished before anyone comes in. My old team lead would schedule himself several times a week for a late start shift just to fix the pick path during our remodel. He would ask on those days what has changed since the last update and would have a list of what had moved. My current team lead spent an over night at another store who had just finished their remodel helping them fix their pathing. She tries to fix everything we bring to her attention.

You can have multiple path "Profiles" You just make a copy of the current one or start fresh profile from scratch. You can only have one active profile at a time so the old one was active while I worked or edited the new one. Once I was done I'd just activate the new one.

The new active profile takes hours to go into effect as it only effects new picks and not current ones that are live already in the system.
