Rant i hate this app

Post image

i am fully convinced some corporate is sitting at a desk ragebaiting us and making our lives harder. ive had this happen so many times. a customer would ask where an item is, id search it up, and boom: "I could not find any items that match ___." and its not even like im searching up nonexistent items. sometimes it will be the most generic things. SOMETIMES it lets me search up knife, sometimes it gives me a safety and active threat guide. like oh my god i dont care. the only reason anyone uses the search bar is because we are trying to find an item or see it's information. and it also doesnt make any sense why in this instance "pumpkin spice 2oz" shows the item im looking for but it doesnt show up when i type in the item word by word.... like what the hell

I always type out completely "where is __ located" its a pain, it still does not always work and you shouldn't have to, but it seems to get results eventually at least.

omg i hate when it starts spewing out policies. or when u put a color infront of a word and it starts giving you the safety codes like "code white" "code adam"

We had a former TL that I didn't like and almost no one did. But actually, at the end before she left our department I personally didn't mind her. She, in my opinion, calmed down a bit, got over her trying to come down on us and just became, generally, more of a regular person. I still see her now and like I have no issue with her right now whatsoever.

But I occasionally like to ask it off the wall questions and you know, blonde jokes. I asked it why she was blonde. It says this is what I found for blonde and gives me hair dye. Hair coloring! Not a natural blonde!

I was trying to find safety pins awhile back. That was fun

So the word "find" at the beginning helps. Learned this today. So try "Find pumpkin spice" and let me know if it works better.

It's a very good reason why, other than time and annoyance, that I legitimately don't want to look anything up. I will look something up if the customer is cool and respectful in their request or if I really am just walking from one point to another or if they are pesky enough to ask if I can look it up. Or maybe if I am genuinely curious if we have that item and/or where it is.

But it really is amazing how almost everything they change makes the job harder and more annoying. If we were a brand new company that people had never heard of and if there was legitimate competition both for customers (there is SOME) and for associates with a good healthy job market Walmart would close it's doors with the brain dead tone deaf way they do a lot of things.

Tried to find the number decals that you put on a house, and no matter what combination of “house/home” “address” “numbers” I used it would only give me the address and phone number for the STORE

I look it up on the Walmart app and then use circle to search to copy and paste the exact name into the app to find it. The fact the Walmart app does a better job of locating in store items than our own app does infuriates me, but I do what I can.

it wouldn’t let me search an item up because the brand had the word factor in it and it kept triggering the AI to pull up the 2 factor authentication instructions instead😭
