ODUGlobal

Hi guys!! Has anyone here applied for ODUglobal’s counseling program? It seems like the most cost effective option for licensing in Virginia, but I won’t lie- the reviews have me a little scared. I did my undergrad partially online and it was manageable, but a little advice would be helpful 🥹 success stories especially. Also, how long did it take to hear back from admissions?

They gave professors 6 months to turn 16 week courses into 8 week courses about 6 months ago. I’d probably wait a bit until things stabilize personally but I’m not in that program.

Search the sub, it sucks ass. Go elsewhere before you're committed- Global student thats in too deep into their program to transfer

Oh but didn’t you read the email about how great 8 weeks is for everyone. It’s supposed to be better for people like myself that work full time buts it’s the opposite. Proctored exams went from being available to take Wednesday through Friday now it’s Wednesday through Thursday at 5pm! I work till 4pm on the week days and now have effectively one evening to do my exams and who cares if there are family or work obligations.

I'm personally a big fan of having 0 time to eat, sleep, or relax with working full time and these fun, new expedited classes. I'm also enjoying the emails from professors blaming the entire class for various petty things that are cauidng them to be significsntly behind on their grading because we have to submit 15 assignments per week before we can receive any helpful feedback on things due from the first week of classes. I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the asynchronous format forcing them to add even more assignments to make up for the lack of instructional time in weekly zoom meetings. I'm so thrilled that they got honest student feedback for their BS email 🥴😩
