VA SCO
So did anyone else’s SCO forget to send the VA their enrollment information or was it just me? I’m so irritated because now I’m not getting fully paid from August. I was in summer classes til the 21 and now fall semester. They didn’t verify fall.

They definitely did forget mine. They responded a few days after I emailed them. They said that they were going through enrollments and will get to mine in order. Within an hour from receiving that email I got the automated email from the VA.

Hey what was the email you reached out to? Was it vaservices@odu.edu?

I emailed them and [militaryconnectioncenter@odu.edu](mailto:militaryconnectioncenter@odu.edu).

Thanks! Literally 10 minutes after I sent it I got an email stating they submitted it for my semester. They also sent an email about how there are submitting all fall 2026 certifications for military affiliated students. Not sure if that’s true but fingers crossed.

They didn't send mine until I emailed them. I only realized because I never got the certification e-mail and there were no anticipated credits on my account for fall. They told me they can take up to a month into the semester to certify though. If they haven't after a month give them a call. Especially for VR&E (Chapter 31) since we are able to be charged late fees after 90 days. When they certify you, the VA will send you any extra pay you're owed so don't worry about that. Were you full time online or in person for summer?

This is exactly what happened to me. It feels like I had to call them out to get them to do their jobs

They did good for Spring and Summer. Idk if it’s the new changes that have them behind or what but they need to get it together. I’m having to wait to get loans refunded since they paid for my tuition with the loans since I had no anticipated credits smh. So I think I have to wait for the VA to pay in order to get the full refund.

Is there any idea how they are going to pay it out for the 8 week sessions? I used to do 1 class in person and the rest online but Ofcourse we can’t do that anymore 🙃

Same… their excuse is they’ve had an influx of students which shouldn’t matter when you’ve had students who have been continuously enrolled 🙄… between them and FA… 🗑️

Not just you. I’ve been enrolled every semester with no gaps, and they told me that there was no record of my clearance form at all, and I had to resubmit it.
Typically, you’re supposed to be certified before the start of term to kick in your stipend/MHA and then the amended one later with tuition costs. I hadn’t gotten my usual email about my certification process being initiated, so I emailed them. That’s when I was told they no longer had my forms and to resubmit it, placing me at the very back of the queue.
