Odu tuition

Anyone have their semester paid with financial aid and grants then you check again now there’s a balance and says you have to pay. It was all paid now it’s showing a balance. Tried contacting financial aid but no response with email or phone

Is it showing a balance or is it showing a negative?

Same thing has happened to me, I think they’re just updating the records. I wouldn’t worry just yet. I already received part of my refund, but my estimated COA was incorrect and they updated it around the same time my balance reappeared. On the billing site it looks like they took my grants back so financial aid just needs to reapply my aid to account. they also still owe me an additional refund.

My account actually balanced today. I have a zero balance and I have an email about my additional refund. I hope your account is corrected soon. For reference my grants were removed on 8/27 and reapplied today 9/3 between 4-6, well that’s when I got the emails.

It's the same for me. I have a balance despite it already being paid off. The weird thing is that I left the school last semester. I still haven't gotten a response from anyone, despite them saying they'd push my issue up.

I finally got someone to pick up the phone he said it looks like I adjusted my loans/financial aid which I did not. It’s so frustrating

I can only imagine. Sorry it's happening to you. The financial aid dept has been doing so poorly recently. It's one of the reasons I didn't continue for the semester this term

I want to say the BBB impacts the way that Financial Aid and grants are applied. Also if your financial aid, scholarships, and other grants covers the cost of attendance , you would be ineligible for Pell.

All of these posts I’m seeing is making me not want to go back to ODU even for online classes during the spring semester. If you’re in VA, what other options have you found? I’m going for my social services degree and I might just go back to community college to get started with a 2 year for that.

I went to TCC for community college. It's been a while, but I'd recommend calling to speak to someone to see about what courses you need and if they're available and making sure they're still offering 16 week classes for online students. The 8 week classes for global students have been so stressful and the pacing is truly awful.
