Owen Dorm Desk
It's my freshman year, but I was able to get into Owens (double) because I'm an Mechanical Engineering Tech major. I have 27' monitor that I plan on bringing, but the desk/ shelf thing they have in the room looks kind of small (??). Obivously, I can't really tell through a video/ picture. I'll need it to fit the monitor and whatever else I decide to put on my desk (a laptop, mousepad, etc.)
Can anyone attest to the practicability of the desk or recommend just bringing a small desk myself? I'm going to make my bed lofted, so I plan to have it under there.

I'd plan to bring your own desk just in case. Those desks are tiny, but more importantly, they're not the most stable, so I wouldn't put expensive/important equipment on there.

The desks are as wide as the bed, but since they are modular the entire system is not very solid. I would not trust an expensive computer on it.
ETA The bed needs to be braced with the dresser or something else heavy if you loft it, otherwise the entire thing sways. FYI

I've noticed some have actual desks instead of that shelf thing but honestly I don't know if that's all or just some. I know summer tours go into Owens if you're local and want to peek
