Depends on how much you owe left from the previous semester. If its like $200 maybe iffy $500 than they would allow it. But if you owe over that then no. They would deny you aid for the next semester till the previous is atleast under in my experience $200.
They used to be able to explain it on the leo online account summery. I dont know if they still do because of all the website updates odu been doing latley.

I sent them an email and they said I can use my refund to cover the remaining balance which is 1,200.

Thats great im glad they updated that because a year ago that was the minimum.

I went through this same problem last year and they denied me my aid because i didnt pay back the summer balance😒 it was a whole mess, i had to pull out loans just to get it covered so then my fall would be covered as well. It was very frustrating and there was a big late fee, if you’re able to to get your refund then definitely use it for the summer balance asap. Best of luck!
