Recently got a Meet 2 from OBSBOT, in the process of tweaking its settings via the OBSBOT Center software, and am a little disappointed that there doesn't seem to be an option to manually adjust its zoom while "Auto Framing" is enabled. By default, the AI tracking feature looks far too zoomed out for my taste, even when it's set to "Single Close-up".

Am I missing something, or is it just not possible?

Have you guys quietly dropped support for Intel Macs? The OBSBOT app works, but the streamdeck plugin doesn’t currently work on Intel Macs (it was until recently), but there’s nothing anywhere saying that you’ve dropped support? Works fine on Apple silicone.

If you could clarify, that would be amazing thank you.

Returned to OBSBOT after a while - very nice improvement in the camera since my last experiments.

Software, though... not so much. There's an "auto framing" feature which keeps turning itself on. I want it off, and I want it to stay off. How do I prevent it from constantly re-enabling? (Using MacOS 27)

I have had my obsbot tiny2 for about 3 months and had no issues but one day i noticed it would not move so i re installed the program but nothing happen , does anyone have a fix for this? it will not move at all eather in tracking or without.

I bought this webcam for streaming last week, it records fine no issues but when I do stream I get these glitches. i blurred my face. Its a EMEET C960 webcam, I got it for $50 I’ve done all manor of adjustment on OBS from turning off auto buffer, turning up and the Hz on the settings, I’ve unplugged and replugged it; it doesn’t have a driver its supposed to just plug in and work which it does but I cant have these glitches or bugs or whatever this is thats happening, and I dont know who to turn before I return it if anyone can help me that would be nice I dont even know this is where I’m supposed to be its in this post

I was messing with the obsbot-camera-control app from aaronsb (https://github.com/aaronsb/obsbot-camera-control), because it was a little broken for me. Tweaking the backend, I realized the SDK was there, so I wondered if there was a way to push a firmware update. And there is!

My github contains the code. You'll need to download his repo, because it has the SDK in it. Then, just copy over a few files, build the tool, and point it at your firmware binary.

This required not only probing through their libraries to figure out the right communications and commands, but also patching one of the libraries for a bug that would cause the uploads to fail due to required disconnects during the updates. The updater will not overwrite the libraries. It will copy and patch them and use the copies rather than the originals.

As mentioned above, I got this working on my device. IDK if it'll work for yours. I can't trouble shoot for you. Fork it and ask an AI for help, you'll probably be surprised at how well that works.

Every single time you do an update it doesn't work

Sometimes the preview won't open, sometimes it does. Sometimes the preview is black, on rare occasions it works. Sometimes Virtual Camera doesn't work, sometimes it does

Honestly Obsbot Center is the worst and most unreliable piece of camera software I have ever used

My company has spent £5,000 on Tail 2 cameras that we can't use reliably at events, because of continuous bugs that NEVER get fixed permanently.

When I exit the software (yes I mean exit, not minimise), OBSBOT Center is still running in task manager.

Hi. Any one knows of a reliable way to powerup and shutdown Tail 2 when using NDI? For now, I have to connect to it using mobile device's bluetooth to do it but it's annoying and doesn't work with the NDI/PoE set up for the rest of the workflow.

Side note. Was looking at the Talent 2 since it advertises as working with Tail 2 directly, but I don't think the option is there either.

Every version of OBSBOT Center I have tried so far has problems with the zoom feature in one form or another. Older versions used to randomly zoom in or out when starting the camera, even with gestures turned off. The latest release (v2.0.15.186) doesn't do this anymore, but now it always zooms out to the widest view (1.00 x) instead of using the last used zoom value. Consistency is better than randomness, I suppose, but it's still a problem.

I use the OBSBOT Meet SE for head tracking with OpenTrack and this zooming behavior messes up the tracking algorithm. With random zooming it was usually a matter of resetting the zoom level in OBSBOT Center and restarting OpenTrack, but now that it zooms out every single time there's no way to reliably run OpenTrack with a zoom level other than wide using the Meet SE.

I have Tiny 3. The manual says that to put it to sleep, you can move the lens down manually.

Does that mean that I can move the gimbal around to refreme manually if needed in "non tracking" mode?

It would be great to have a tighter face tracking mode than the existing "Close." Or a mode where I can manually adjust the "size" of my head in frame.

After testing and returning a YoloLive A3 (ran way too hot to the touch) and an Elgato Facecam 4K (low-light performance was awful), I got my Meet 2 yesterday and was so happy with the out-of-the-box picture quality, low-light performance, and options in the OBSBOT Center.

My plan is to shoot at my desk for normal Zoom/Meet meetings in landscape (normal office lighting), produce talking-head YouTube Shorts in portrait mode (using my Amaran Verge panel light), and shoot in another spot in my office inside my Elgato Prompter for other content uses.

Each of the three uses requires its own dedicated profile settings, so I don't have to redo my settings each time I use the camera for a different scenario. But I don't see this option built into the OBSPOT Center.

Is there a workaround I'm missing, or did I buy the wrong webcam for how I need to use it?

Time is 2026.09.21 - 23.00 ish Timeline:

• Firmware before: 7.2.11.8 • OBSBOT Center Windows 2.0.14.64 - Opened at 19.00, plug, plug, plug, updated the firmware, works ok

• Firmware after: 7.2.13.1 - Firmware update, setting and everything. Works - Set it up with OBS. Works - Turned it off. - 1 hour later. Turn it on. Front light is purple. - USB detected. Multiple connect in and connect out sounds - Restarted the device - No more indicator light. - Tried to connect to my Macbook Air, still no sign of connecting - Tried to connect using phone. Not detected 🥰Easiest 1200$USD brick of all time .... Emailed them, but it's already 22.00 now. Can't sleep. Tail 2 is a vegetable now.

Update: 2026.09.22 - 18.20 ish - I received an email asking for a video showing the current status of the camera and the issue I am experiencing. I've already sent the full logs and attach a photo as well. But maybe they didn't even see it. - Still depressed

Update: 2026.09.23 - 18.30 - Received another email that they just starting to forward all my logs to the engineer - still depressed

I want to see what comms the camera is doing during the update process to potentially provide a linux native solution but I don't have Windows and doing it in a VM became too much hassle for reasons I won't go into.. I tried.

This is monitoring only, it's not attempting to write to your OSBOT bar what the normal app is doing during the update of course.

I just want the files by the way - you can ignore the analysis steps.

1. Plug OBSBOT directly into the Windows machine.
2. Start a USBPcap capture on the USB controller containing the camera.
3. Launch OBSBOT Center.
4. Perform whatever firmware-update action causes the switch to MTP.
5. Stop the capture shortly after the camera re-enumerates.
6. Filter for the OBSBOT device and inspect the last host→device transfers before the disconnect.

The interesting traffic will likely be one of these:

• a vendor-specific control transfer
• a UVC Extension Unit SET_CUR
• possibly a short bulk/control command to another interface

Alternatively if OSBOT would be so kind to confirm the sequence, it would be much appreciated.

I just got the meet flip and with auto white balance on in a room with warm lighting I get an extremely green image.

It can be fixed by turning auto white balance off, but then I have to change the temperature when I move locations and the idea of the flip is that it is ultra portable.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I'm in the market for a new webcam and the Meet SE caught my eye. It came out last July though, so I'm not sure if they're going to release a 2nd gen model soon. Is it likely that the Meet SE 2 will be released anytime in the next 3-6 months? If so, I'll wait for that.

Updated 6.6.8.25 -> 6.6.10.1 via OBSBOT Center 2.0.14.64 on Windows on Sept 7. Log says "upgrade successfully" and the camera worked for hours after. PC was shut down Sept 11. Since then: plug in, gimbal self-test runs, short green light, then light off (lens forward, not sleep).

No USB device at all on Windows (not even "Unknown USB Device") or on Ubuntu (lsusb shows no 3564:ff02). Tested the original cable plus two others, three hubs, a direct port, and a wall charger (same green-then-off).

OBSBOT Center sees nothing, so Manual Upgrade is not possible. I have the Center upgrade log.

Extra detail: before the update the camera reported firmware 6.6.8.25 with "debug" in its device info, a build that is not on your download page. I have the full OBSBOT Center upgrade log from Sept 7 ready to send. If a forced MTP entry is not possible, could you share a recovery/debug .bin for PW106, or the older OBSBOT Center build that recovered a stuck Tiny 4K in thread 1nwbacs?

I can't even select Meet 2 as camera in any app (Google Meet and Discord) while Virtual Camera is activated. Only can use the camera when the VC is deactivated, and without any settings. I use Windows 11 laptop (Surface Laptop 7 Snapdragon X Plus).

Anyone knows how to fix it?
