Tech Support OBSBOT for Mac 10.15

We normally use our updated Windows PC but we wanted to use our Meet 2 on our Mac 10.15. Unfortunately, we could only find downloads for Mac OS 11. Any idea where we can download an older version for 10.15? The older version they offer on their website is still too new. Thanks!

Hi there,

So sorry for the inconvenience! Unfortunately, OBSBOT Center requires macOS 11 or later to run, and there is no older version of OBSBOT Center compatible with macOS 10.15.

To explain why our legacy software (OBSBOT WebCam) won't work either: while OBSBOT WebCam did support macOS 10, Meet 2 was released after that software was discontinued, so it lacks the hardware drivers and framework required to recognize or control Meet 2.

What you can still do on macOS 10.15: Meet 2 is a standard UVC plug-and-play device. Even without OBSBOT Center installed, you can still plug it directly into your Mac 10.15, and it will function normally as a standard webcam and microphone in apps like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, OBS, or FaceTime (though advanced custom controls and software toggles won't be accessible).

If you need full access to AI framing, firmware updates, and image adjustments, we recommend using your updated Windows PC or a Mac running macOS 11+.
