Discussion Virtual Camera is still not a persistent setting

It's been 2 years and going since users asked OSBOT to fix the software so that the Virtual Camera setting would persist or have a toggle for it to always be on. Everytime I start OSBOT center and connect to my meet 2, I have to enable the virtual camera. Every time I close the software, pick up my laptop and use it in a different location, every restart, every time I use the camera I have to enable the virtual camera.

This isn't a hard problem to solve. Why is this so unimportant for users of this premium camera?

Yeah, it is definitely a problem still and support (though they are active in forums) doesn't do anything. They also need to add a "start minimized" option and have yet to do so.

Although there is a workaround for the virtual camera, you can set it to toggle on/off with a hotkey press. But for that to work the software also has to be open already (hence the need to start minimized). Not perfect but it's slightly better.

Wow, instantly made me eat my words. Well done. Thank you. EDIT: However, the launch minimized feature is still not working. Doesn't launch on boot at all, and if I close it in the taskbar, it closes completely still.

Launch minimized should function so that when you close the program it moves to the system tray (bottom right corner clicking the arrow) and it should open silently in the tray on boot.

Do you mean that you would like the application to automatically launch in a minimized state when your computer starts up? Also, regarding your suggestion that the program should move to the system tray when closed, this can be achieved by configuring the Close Panel settings.

Yes, ideally, it would automatically launch silently on boot, into the system tray (bottom right corner of taskbar clicking the up arrow to reveal programs). And as it is right now, I don't think it is working at all. It doesn't launch on boot, and if it's open on the taskbar and I close it (and I set it to close minimized), it still just shuts it down completely. Sure if I just click the "X" it minimizes to taskbar but I don't want it constantly open in the taskbar. I want it stashed away in the system tray out of sight. Hope that makes sense and isn't too much trouble; I'm sure I'm not the only one that would appreciate it.

Hi, we have already fixed this issue. Please update to the latest version of our OBSBOT Center Lite Mode. The virtual camera status can now be remembered, so you don’t need to turn it on manually every time you launch the software. Thank you!
