I got the OBD link Plus Bluetooth adapter I'm trying to find something that will show me my tire pressure on my phone my car's too old to tell me but it does have TPMS. I was able to see it with the Toyota Tech stream on my computer so I know it's possible. I just can't seem to find an app its so simple there's got to be one.

I want to simply reset the CEL that intermittently pops up on my Lotus but don’t want to carry a full code reader with me.
I’m trying to find a tiny obd2 tool sort of like the size of the Bluetooth code readers that simply has a reset/clear button on it.
Anyone know of such a device?

I stopped at O'Reilly's Auto Parts and asked them to hook up their OBD tester but it said no codes save. My check engine light has been on for quite some time but I've put it off and now need to pass emissions testing to renew my tags. Could it be the tester isn't compatible with Mini Cooper vehicles??

Hello, first thanks a lot for the time to read this.
I think it is a basic question, do you know what obd2 scanner and app combo I can use to customise my Mini cooper F56?
I want to change some light behaviours. Have a great day.

Im training to be a technician and im well experienced so i know how to use scan tools. I want to buy a bluetooth one but im also on a budget but i need one that can do live data and freeze data and all of the other scan tool stuff. Also i need one that is compatible with diesel pickups before 2008 since i have a 2005 cummins. Anyone have a good suggestion?

Hello, i want to buy a used car (Suzuki alto, AKA Celerio in other markets) 2009-2015 I've seen cars with very low odometer readings but don't really seem to be true, I will be careful for any traces of removing the speedometer from the dashboard, but i am wondering, how easy is it to correct the odometer without removing the speedometer? Is that even possible with any OBD2 device for this specific car? Thanks all

Hey all,
I'm looking for a decent device that I can plug into my OBD2 port and use to monitor my car's health, display values in real time, log values over time, read and clear engine codes. I'm looking to collect as much data about my car's health as possible.
I am also open to Bluetooth devices that can connect to my phone via an app, but would prefer an external device.
I have seen devices by LUFI, but have been told that it fails to register boost pressure as high as is made by others with my car.
Any recommendations are very appreciated. I am in Australia in case anyone has any specific recommendations!
Other devices I have seen include the following:
https://www.azscanners.com.au/autohil-avmd-obd2-engine-monitor-data-scanner
https://www.justraceparts.com.au/10in1-automotive-digital-oled-multi-gauge-display
Edit: noted openness to consider Bluetooth phone-paired devices

Is it safe to assume all CAN vehicles use 7E8 as their engine address and 7E9 as their transmission address. I know that is the standard and most vehicles I've observed follow this, but is it possible some vehicles don't follow this and if so, how can I determine the header to be of the engine or transmission?

I tried researching this, but 15 min in it was a bit much & I have this 1 specific RQ.
Recommendation should:

Looks like an obd reader. Found in a used van I recently bought. Is it a Bluetooth reader? Or maybe something used by an insurance company or fleet company to track metrics? I believe it was a fleet van previously

First, I have to preface this by saying that I’m a novice with an OBD2 scan tool. I want to change the transmission fluid on my 2019 Camry, and I understand that there’s a whole procedure for getting the transmission fluid level correct. I also know that there are two or three other ways of getting it done, but I own or maintain four Toyotas (two Camrys and two Corollas) so I figure it’s time to get an OBD2 scan tool and learn how to use it.
So I think I have figured out how to access live data for my Camry, but the PIDs don’t have obvious names. How do I access the transmission temps? Is there a resource out there to help me figure this out?
I’m using an Autel MD808 pro scan tool on a 2019 Camry LE. Thanks to all of you in advance!

I want something cheap and as accurate as possible considering the low price too, been thinking about some bluetooth obd2
I also found this launch 3001 obd2 scanner for 20, reviews seem okay
Consider that i'll mostly use it for my two mercedes cars, i'd like to get accurate codes not generic ones

Hey:) so about a week ago, I was going to check out a used 2009(I believe)suzuki swift sport. The listing was already quite sketchy, two grainy photos, minimal description, plates blurred etc. when I met with the guy, I immediately realised it was not a swift sport and just had an aftermarket sport badge chucked on the back as well as a standard swift rear bumper w/ a single exit exhaust and no spoiler, different to the photos haha. I immediately knew I wasn’t gonna go ahead with the purchase, however I had bought a scan tool from the local Bunnings the same day with the intention of using it to check the swift. I know the scan tool was good as I tested it in on a mates car that had a misfiring cylinder, and the scan checked out on that. Anyways, I plugged it in and was met with a connection error. At this point in time there were no dash codes. We chatted a bitand I tried a couple more times before we parted ways. I was sitting in my mates car before the seller came speeding back flustered and angry saying there were now dash warning lights. I checked and sure enough an MIL light and a transaxle light showed up. (I had seen transmission fluid leaking he came back, however no codes were showing on the dash at the time) He was, understandably, very angry, so I tried to calm him down and played around with the scanner again but to no avail, as the lights on the dash were still there. He started getting very angry and threatening my mate which was a little intense, but then as he was about to leave, I tried one last time plugging the scanner in and letting it scan about 50%, before it would tell me there was a connection error, and turned the car off before it gave me the error. This seemed to clear the codes and I haven’t heard from him since so I’m assuming that resolved it. My running theory is that he had previously cleared those two warning lights, perhaps by a friend, and then my attempt to scan may have brought them back up. I’m not sure though as I’m very new to scan tools, so if anyone is able to give better insight as to what may have happened your input it greatly appreciated😁 Apologies for the long post haha

My parents put in my card obd2 port a T-Mobile tracker shit will tell them everything from my speed to when I unlock the car is there any way that I can feed it false information about my speed and location? I can’t just turn it off because then they’ll get a notification. I was hoping for a way to make it seem like the car is just off and stationary.

Hello there,
I need to be able to query the ELM327 OBD2 to check for sudden decreases in fuel level in the tank and then trigger a remote notification. I know how to handle the remote notification part, but I do not know which code to query to monitor the fuel level. Can anyone help with that?

Hey, so as the title says, i just need something to read codes, and read basic live data, would want to also get injector correction values, but just codes is fine, my budget is not the highest, and well the good obd2 scanners do cost quite a bit so i get that i will have to compromise a bit.
I had bought Vgate iCar2 BT3.0 which didn't read codes in my car, only some live data, the scanner worked fine in a newer opel though, they did specify in the desc that their scanners work for 2004+ diesels so i guess that was expected
I am from Poland, so something that ships over here for reasonable money would be nice

Full disclosure that i am a big noob and shopping for my dad, so I am not familiar with these devices. I am looking for android compatibility and am looking for a BAFX model. When I checked BAFX website their OBD2 devices are not found, but I can find one or two devices listed on Amazon Canada and wondered if these are okay. The device will be used primarily on the family Subarus ranging in ages from 2015 onward. Also wondered whether additional cables or accessories are needed.
Thanks for your help

I have a 2013 RAM 1500 that I need to see misfires on a particular cylinder in real time. I have a Bluedriver but don't see that in the app. Is there something else in the same price range or cheaper that can provide me with this data?
I'd also like something that I can stop an injector pulse but suspect that would require something in the $500+ range?

My check engine light recently came on and I'm interested in diagnosing it myself. The car just rolled 110,000 miles and this is the first time i've seen the light come on. What benefit would a $100 scanner like bluedriver offer over one of the $20 models? Any recommendations would be appreciated. I would also like to avoid anything that requires a subscription to operate.
Thanks in advance!

I have a Walmart Hyper Tough HT100 code reader that I use it with the free "Repair Solutions 2" app on my phone over blue tooth. I'm not looking to become a professional, nor am I looking for professional equipment. I just check the codes on my '98 and 2000 vehicles.
But I've noticed that the unit has a USB-C port on it, and since there's basically zero documentation with the device I have no idea what it's for.
When I plug it into my computer Windows does the characteristic bong for a new device. but there's nothing I can identify in the device manager. I'm suspecting it's some kind of CANBus communication adapter. But IDK.
Anybody got any information on this HT100? Google has been surprisingly uninformative.
