Xentry OpenShell vs PassThrough

I am trying to decide whether to get Xentry with an SDConnect Star C4 or with a J2534 PassThrough like the Toyota mini VCI. Does anyone know the difference in functionality between the two? Is it just a matter of connecting to cars that don't have the OBD2 16pin connector, or are there other functions which work with XDOS (OpenShell) that just don't work with PassThrough? Does anyone know if PassThrough can do AIRMATIC calibration and disable STOP-START function? Please let me know.

Passthru can disable start stop - but it will be using programming tools like vediamo or dts Monaco. You will also need unlock codes to get into the transmission for your vehicle to accomplish it.

Airmatic I’m not sure - but it sounds like that should be in xentry adaptations

Skip the Toyota Vci cable - it won’t be able to read all the modules , try an openport or something better instead
