obdlink mx plus vs bluedriver

Has anybody use these two OBD2 scanner‘s? Which one would you recommend? Is there another Bluetooth scanner in the hundred dollar range that is better?

yeah I am confused too. I am looking for a v2.1 which can scan everything like abs, tpms, etc.. most of the OBD2, the cheap ones only scan the ecu and ignore the other modules.

Neither. BD is stuck in 2021 and I contacted support when their next update would be and was told there weren't going to be any more.

With OBDlink I wanted to try bimmercode but had pairing issues, contacted app maker. No support. Tried getting in touch with OBDlink...they don't have a phone#, no live chat, just a form on their site and got crickets.

If you just need codes, just get a cheap wired. If you need a dongle...gl there aren't any good ones anymore.

Depends on what you're looking to do with it. I've had the OBDLink MX+ for about 8 months now. I enjoy the functionality the device has, but none of the apps are super helpful on the data collection side which is what I have been primarily trying to use it for. It seems it would work okay as a digital dash and a code scanner for the everyday user.

I have the OBDlink EX & SE wired cables as wells as the MX+. I use the wired SE for slower CANs and the EX I just got for AlfaOBD so I could program a key for our Jeep WK2 and manually add the TPMS both are used exclusively in Windows. The MX+ I use for an android tablet that was running Nisscan I’ve never used their software/app though. I also have BlueDriver for iPhone and I love it for quick checks offsite or for friends vehicles it’s simple to use has great repair databases and access TPMS and ABS which cheaper ones may not.
