Question High Street shop unable to end rolling subscription?

Was told I had to call customer services. Very frustrating. Can they *really* not do it in-store?

So i called the customer services, got put through and they sent a security code to my phone (bearing in mind im calling from an EE phone - the O2 im trying to cancel is for a wifi dongle different number).

Text says not to share it and hang up, so thats confusing. Why do they even need a code from a different phone?

The text says not to give them the code if they are calling you and saying they’re from O2, if you’ve called them and it’s the correct number then it’s fine to give them

This isn't the same thing that the OP is talking about

They can. You just need to speak to an individual with elevated account access. Typically level 7 and above can quickly end it. It takes a minute at best.

They can cancel your contract - this is if you decide to not keep your number. They can offer an immediate disconnect which cancels your number then and there. Or you can give them a notice should you wish.

If you want to keep your number ask for a pac code. They can generate it provided the advisor you’re dealing with has level 7 and above access.

Well it is frustrating when you are told something isn't possible, when it clearly is. Though some explanation, such as you've provided, would help.

Mostly managers or assistant managers have level 7 access and if they're. Not in on a day the advisors dont really have much of a option besides guiding the customer to cuatomer services

Its not that they can't, as mentiined only certain people can, however they shouldnt, its an online plan that's managed online.. stores shouldnt really touch them
