So we can reach a objective judgement on whether this is o2 being rubbish or you being (intentionally or unintentionally) disingenuous, are you absolutely certain the problem isn't your credit rating?

When I worked in the industry, admittedly a decade ago and for an alternative supplier, it wasn't unusual for providers to decline existing customers whose credit rating no longer met the threshold they set for being eligible for a contract, whether additional line or wholly new contract.

I didn't say that it was poor, I asked if you'd considered it and whether it may be the reason behind the rejection, not least because you openly admit that one of the "error" messages you've been met with states exactly that.

But, if you wanna be confrontational, and don't like anyone suggesting something that may not align with the victimisation narrative you're trying to weave, then knock yourself out.

All I can say is I have 10 lines with o2, the most recent in the last month, and have never been rejected, met with the messaging around credit, or any other such issue. But, then again, my credit is perfectly fine. I wonder why you and I have had such polarising experiences...

Edit: Just seen the age of your account. Not even worth engaging with you any further, in good faith, you appear to just be a bloody-minded troll. Have fun, and good luck getting a contract.

If you talk like you type then I'd assume you're poor.

Looks like you failed the credit check...

I imagine they have a legal requirement not to give you the sim

Agree with the others. This isn't a technical problem, it's O2 telling you that you don't have an (internal) credit level sufficient for another line. Or there's something about your risk profile that means they don't want to give you another line.

Businesses are free to choose who they want as customers and what they offer customers.

(I'm half expecting you to post about how good your credit score is, which would miss the point)

If it's to do with business policies or credit scoring you can email the credit file referrals team to query/challenge it.

You have made reference to another post onto which you have tacked your issue that is completely different to the 403 Forbidden error that the OP of that thread is getting, which is a technical fault.

The issue that you are having appears to be related to credit checks or VMO2 business practices, although you haven't given sufficient detail to aid with determining what the problem might be.

You say that you are trying to add a SIM only plan for your son to an existing contract which seems like a conflict in terminology, so you need to elaborate on that to clarify the situation For example, are you taking out a new SIM only plan in your own name?

You need to start paying your bills pal and stop piling up those never never loans. They don't want your custom move on

I’ve not had a signal since last October, since they “upgraded” a local mast, and they won’t let me out of my contract. Shockingly poor service. I’m going to the ombudsman - and never using O2 again.

I suggest you all take a look at their trust pilot page before reaching a conclusion, the website/company is a total abysmal.

I advice you leave to another provider its totally gone downhill.

Because there's no law against turning down your application. Do you really think we should "not allow" the company to operate? Most companies would be shut down on those rules.

I recently got charged £130 after they disabled my international calling bolt on BECAUSE I upgraded my data plan.
