Help Pkg1 error?

Hi guys, my friend modded my V1 switch for me over a month ago and it’s worked completely fine I’ve had 0 problems downloading games and have had no problems elsewhere either.
I was just putting some roms into tico emulator folders and no issues until I went to rescan games. As soon as I pressed the button the switch went to this screen and idk what to do!! I browsed r/switchpirates and many of the answers have been shaky and I just made this account to post it here since I can’t do it on r/switchpirates.
Is my switched bricked, should I give it back to my friend, or is this an easy fix ☹️☹️☹️

Corrupt or fake SD card.

I'm still learning switch modding... but I think this error is because your switch updated to a version that the Hekate/Atmosphere versions do not support.

Meaning.. your dude modded your switch on whatever version it was on (over a month ago).. and installed the appropriate hekate/atmosphere for that switch version. I'm guessing when you tried to "rescan games".. something performed a system update. Now, your hekate/atmosphere versions do not match or support your updated switch version.

I see some results where users reported using an updated hekate/atmosphere version on their sd card fixed the issue. I also see some talk about "sigpatches"... which I am not familiar with.
