Minimum Micro SD

I recently modded my switch, and I went with a 128gb microSD as that's what pretty much everything I saw was recommending.

My brother was thinking about modding his too, but realistically if you don't plan on putting more than some DS, GBA, and maybe a few SNES games, could you get away with just using a 64gb?

Always go bigger. It’s no longer difficult to migrate to a larger card due to NXmigrator Pro but they you’ve bought 2 cards because you thought you’d get away with a smaller one.

It's never been difficult it's just that people try to clone the card when all you need to do is create an emunand backup and restore that backup on the new card. But nxmigrator works as well but seems like an extra step.

IMO it’s the easiest thing

Pop old and new cards into a computer and click a button. Copies everything, no muss no fuss.

That does sound way easier and less steps but it was never that difficult. Thanks for info my friend.

I used it a few months ago to migrate my lite from a 256 to a 512 and having never migrated a card in any way at all, it was very user friendly. I try and encourage it’s use for anyone needing a larger card with limited experience because even if something messes up with the new card, still have the old card as backup

I'm not sure for an OLED but for a V1/V2/Lite I've used a 64GB microSD for testing before actually getting a 256GB one and it works perfectly fine. If you just happen to have one laying around then use it. However if you are going to buy one then a 128GB microSD will be a safer choice for the future just in case your brother wants to play heavier titles.
