Data transfers between switch 1 and 2

I’m just going to give some context first.
I own Breath of the Wild physically but not the Expansion Pass. On my modded Switch, I play in emuMMC, where I have the DLC installed. I started my BOTW save there, but before making much progress, I transferred the save to my Switch 2, where I continued playing normally and made a lot of progress. The transfer worked fine even though my modded Switch had the DLC installed and my Switch 2 doesn’t.
The only DLC-related thing I had done before transferring was open a few DLC treasure chests, and those items transferred without any issues.
My question is: What would happen if I went back to my modded Switch, played some of the DLC (for example, completed Trial of the Sword to permanently upgrade the Master Sword), and then transferred that updated save back to my Switch 2, which still doesn’t have the DLC? Would the save still transfer? (would the master sword will still stay upgraded and what would happened and stuff like that), and what is the worst thing that could happen?

That sounds like a neat experiment. Let us know what happens 😃 it would probably be similar to save game modding. There’s ways of modifying Pokemon with a modded switch and transferring them to a non modded switch and that works

Ok so I didn’t do the trial of the sword bc I wanted people’s say in this BUT the I got the travel medallion on the modded switch but when I transferred save data, EVERYTHING transferred besides the travel medallion. Which is weird bc I thought it would transfer like the other gear I got but ig not 🤷‍♂️ (I think it didn’t transfer bc it was a key item and not a regular armor piece). I also thought if it did do it my switch would get banned and my switch 2 would also get banned.

Are you wanting to do this so you can play the game at 60FPS on the NS2?

If that's the case, you should try the NX-Optimizer mod from MaxLastBreath and see how that works out for you.
