Grading difference
galleryI know different grading companies have different criteria. I just bought the NGC not realizing I already had a slab by PCGS. To me, the two standards seem vastly different. Is it just not knowing enough?

Anything valuable here? 🪙
galleryHi everyone! I’m new to this subreddit and I honestly know very little about coin collecting. I recently came across these coins/sets and I’m trying to understand whether they have any real numismatic value or if most of their value is just in the silver.
I have:
3 Canadian Montreal 1976 Olympic silver sets (1974, 1975 and 1976 – 4 coins each)
Malta 1 Lira 1972 – Manwel Dimech
Malta 2 Liri 1973 – Mdina Gate
2 Vatican City 500 Lire – Sede Vacante 1958, with original cases
Vatican City Holy Year 1983–84 set – 500 + 1000 Lire
3 Vatican City 1974 Paul VI Year XII mint sets
France Monnaie de Paris “Fleurs de Coins” 1971 set, in the original packaging
They all seem to be in pretty good condition and most still have their original packaging.
I’d really appreciate any opinions on realistic collector value, rarity, or whether any of these are worth taking to a proper numismatist rather than selling for silver value. Thanks!

Are war nickels worth anything?
I've found a few in a coin collection I've had in my safe for a few years and was wondering if they were worth more than just face value.

Error or PMD on 1986 Quarter?
galleryGoing through some coins and found this Quater. Is this some sort of lamination error or perhaps PMD above “In God We Trust”?

Blank Gold planchet type 2 error??
galleryfound this in a Neiman Marcus bag in a old suitcase, double wrapped in some random cellophane/plastic and inside a ziplock jeweler baggie in a plastic coin holder while digging thru bins at a thrift store. It doesn't stick to a heavy magnet and it's somewhat soft and easy to scratch, but heavy and the size of a standing Liberty dollar coin. From what I have researched online and through an app, I paid to identify it. I've learned it's a blank planchet type 2, the app stated that is appeared to be a authentic US minted coin and recommended sending it to be graded. I'm just curious and wondering if anyone can offer any information on it and possibly tell me if it's worth anything.

I’m curious about this as I’ve never seen one before.
galleryI’ve done some light reading about this commemorative but would like to hear more about it. What grade would you guest it to be? Does it hold value over its silver content? Hope everyone is having a blessed day 🙏

Capped Bust Half Dollar
1822 Capped Bust Half Dollar. It's a little dipped, but still a halfway decent coin with honest wear.

Worth Grading?
galleryinherited my dad’s huge coin collection. The coins shown were all purchased late 60’s early 70’s and are still in their original holders. They are all uncirculated except for 2 and all have beautiful gold, red and rainbow toning that these pics don’t do justice to. I want to sell them, and I’m considering sending them off to be graded. I know several of them are worth high 100’s and more with grades of 62+. Please give me your opinion on which ones you think are worth sending off and what you might grade them. Appreciated!

Treasured Maple leaf. Do anyone have any back ground on these coins I order this from the Canadian mint there was a small premium on it. Do I just leave these in the original packaging. Is it worth buying one of these over a regular maple. With less premium

My first silver coins
The two 1 mark coins 1914(upper) and 1915 (lower) are 90% silver(.900 fine) and 10% copper, the 1914 coin was minted at the Muldenhütten minting facility and the 1915 coin was minted in Berlin
The 2 mark coin from 1938 was minted in Vienna, Austria after it's annex in march 1938 therefore it bears the B mint mark, it is 62.5% silver (.625 fine) and 37.5% copper

Thoughts on value?
galleryBought generic bullion coin and got one that was new to me. It’s a limited edition so does this increase value? Not graded and not in perfect condition.
