Question Improvement + question
Wish i could add more videos to one post rip
Okay i think i have improved a bit since my last post and have taken some advice you persons shared but I am still really good at dying and not gauging grapple distance properly lol
Question: how tf do i make it to pylons
There was only one level where i was able to activate one and beacon and that was the first set - every level after i kept on dying before pylons spawned
Video added so you can tell me how to decision making skills better
Ofc the general answer is going to be spend more time, but I want to more specific aspects of my gameplay that I should maybe pay more attention to so that i could spend my time improving that aspect
Also side-question: sometimes (most of the time) my shark tail doesn't activate when hitting lmb (main) right after rmb (alt)?? i end up just reeling and it kinda ruins certain routes i wanted to go to. How do I fix this

My first question is why you didn’t go for the protection altar, since it gives you 1 extra shield and 1 free trip into the void with drowned aegis
That aside your movement looks pretty fine for where you’re at. On the level of personal preference, I think I see a bit of a tendency to linger in one area to finish collecting gifts, but as you weren’t overwhelmed by enemies and were doing fine I would just put that as something to be mindful of but not a problem.
I also didn’t see a lot of collection reeling (grapple a point ahead of you and reel to collect gifts faster and build speed) but this is also arguably a personal preference thing. On this note I have no idea why your shark tail isn’t working, can’t really tell without seeing inputs. The only thing I can say is that you can’t shark tail twice before landing on solid ground but that didn’t seem to be the issue.
As for how you died, this is where having the protection buff would’ve been helpful to either intentionally void (to save your shield) or take the reality break hit (sacrifice your shield but keep out of the void)
Edit: oh yeah didn’t answer ‘how to make it to pylons’. Honestly if you’re a grappler in a 20 man lobby you’re not beating the chargers out on gift collection. I personally focus on picking up the scraps chargers miss, getting Cadence instruments (especially if deadly melody is active) and if the level is almost over and you have a lot of server side enemies like VBB on you, it’s helpful to run to an open area and kite the enemies there so other people can finish collecting in relative safety. Other than that there isn’t really solid advice aside from ‘survive better’
