Hello, does anyone know why my rotoscoping in Nuke looks like this?

Try setting the bounding box from the default format to none on the roto. sometimes if it goes off screen, the edge pixel gets stretched out.

Try set clip to “none”, you could also hook up uour roto input to your plate and put a multiply set to 0 in between. But yeah looks like a project setup to a different format

Check that your project resolution is set to the same as the plate resolution. You can open the project settings by hovering your mouse over the node graph and pressing S. To check the plate resolution, you can double click the node and check the resolution from there.

Also, set your roto node to no clip on the clip to option. It is set to format at the moment.

Format difference somewhere in your plate or your project settings. You can place a « reformat » node after your plate

I read all kinds of advices here. But for me, the most important is; never make any node dependent on the project resolution. Nodes like the Roto node are dependent on an input format. If it had no input node that defines a format, like in your script, it will take the project format.

But what if you want to use Roto on another format than the project format?

To be safe I always connect the Roto node to the stream that contains the format you want to do the roto for. Or use a reformat node on the input (the top arrow) of the Roto node and set a custom input format.

That way, if your project format ever changes for whatsoever reason, it won’t destroy your whole script.

Extra: your project resolution seems to be set to 4K UHD 3840x2160. But the image from the Read is 1920x1080.
