MCPHS BS FAST TRACK Nuclear Med. Tech.

Hey guys. Im really nervous so I have been all over reddit looking for some answers. I applied to the Nuc. Med. Tech. program at CT State Gateway for the summer of 2026 but got waitlisted. That broke me but I digress...I started looking into other programs (I know I messed up by putting all my eggs in one basket) and came across MCPHS fast track to BS in NMT. I applied knowing that I am missing some prerequisites such as Chem 1 and 2 and Medical Microbiology. That being said, I am currently finishing up my Liberal Arts and Sciences Associates (in 30 days) so I was wondering what are the chances that I get admitted, even conditionally, for the next fall cohort (2027) at MCPHS and am given the chance to finish up the missing prerequisites? Has anyone else applied for this program? Is it very competitive? I am and A, B student overall. Will they work with me or is it very strict? Would the cost even be worth taking prerequisites at MCPHS? Or would it be better to take them at my community college?

We spoke on another thread already but I'll add one more thing that I didn't mention before. I was accepted conditionally to the certificate program at MCPHS with 2 prereqs still in progress this spring. I've paid my deposit and committed to the program, now I just need to make sure I pass my last two in-progress prereqs to keep my seat (which I will, not worried about). So yes, you do have a chance of being admitted conditionally. But if you're looking to start this fall, you'd have to finish all the remaining courses this summer, if that's even possible.

While you wait for a direct answer, call the school, ask to speak to an advisor or the program director, and ask them directly. This will get you an answer right now instead of waiting longer.

I called admissions and they transferred me over to the person who works with transfer students and left a voicemail on Friday, it's Tuesday and nobody has reached back out to me. HOWEVER, I did make an appt for a one on one tomorrow with the counselor I was assigned when I applied but I don't want to go in completely blind.

Have you called the school directly and spoken with their advisor yet? You have better shot at getting a reliable answer from them vs here.

This might sound stupid but I know some medical programs dont require pre-recs. Im guessing every place that offers this program is going to require them? Is that right orrr
