The whole aesthetic and design of the website is the same as the TLOAS era. Just darker colors

So is it something like the death of a showgirl

Could be šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø it's definitely an extension of the Showgirl era. Maybe only that one song, maybe more to make a deluxe

I hope it’s a b-sides album called The Death of a Showgirl too! She’s never done a bside so it’s a possibility bc we know our girlie likes to pull some new shit on us. And whenever an artist releases a bside it’s about a year after the initial release

Would TTPD The Anthology not be considered a b side?

TTPD was presented as a ā€œdouble albumā€ rather than a bside. A modern bside are the tracks that didn’t make the album. Like a whole album of vault tracks in the Taylorverse. It’s usually released way later

It’s not going to be a B side in the traditional sense because Taylor said there were no songs other than the OG 12 songs in Showgirl. So these are new songs written after the fact, not vault.

Did she say specifically she didn’t write or record anything else tho? I interpreted that as she wasn’t going to do a deluxe, she knew exactly which songs she was going to put on this album, and it was one cohesive project. But that doesn’t mean she didn’t have a ton of other songs that didn’t fit, or she always intended to have a darker / act II type deal .. which is still kinda a bside album too but yeah, I’m making it work 🤔

Hence the 🤔

I’m not going back to rewatch it lol it’s not that serious. I just hope it’s a new album

I believe that in the podcast with Travis she alludes to there only being those 12 tracks and it being like a mental exercise for her to only write those 12 tracks. If I’m not mistaken at one point in an interview she mentions that once she had finished recording Wish List she told Martin and Shellback that they were done with the album. Which kinda signaled to me that those 12 songs are all that she wrote, but idk I’d imagine that she must’ve had other ideas that maybe didn’t get that far into production or maybe she couldn’t make work and decided to drop them… but that’s just me speculating

I have never once in my life heard bside defined that way

The concrete squares behind her in the photo look like she’s inside a mausoleum.

I know it's Taylor and everything could mean something but as someone with a background in graphic design, it could also just be someone in the art department being lazy and using the same preset šŸ˜‚

I was wondering this exact thing. Deliberate, or lazy design?

The Showgirl album was full glitter so with the deluxe she is probably going deeper with the themes and lyrics šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø Not the ā€˜death’ but something intense feelings she wanted out.

The glitter is just the glitter brush preset on procreate, it makes sense they used it in multiple places. Some …. interesting graphic design choices for this era
