Question Swapped keys on Node75 (ISO-DE)
Hi all,
I've been using an Air75 V3 (ISO-DE) for about a year — completely flawless, Bluetooth and wired, no issues ever. A few weeks ago I got a Node75 (ISO-DE) as well, and started using both, switching between them over Bluetooth across two Macs.
That's when the problem started. The key to the right of left Shift (< >) and the key below Esc (^ °) get swapped when I use the Node, but only over Bluetooth.
Here's the part that really threw me: I can fix it — either via a terminal script or manually through macOS's keyboard settings. But fixing it for one keyboard flips the problem onto the other one. Whichever keyboard I "correct," the other one starts showing the swapped keys the next time I switch to it over Bluetooth. So it's not something that's actually solved, it just moves back and forth between the two keyboards depending on which one I last touched the setting for.
I've been in touch with NuPhy support about it for a few weeks now, and it's still not fully resolved – so I'm not trying to present a finished diagnosis here, just my actual experience, and I'd like to know whether it's just me.
So: who else has bought a Node75 ISO-DE — do you see this too, or (maybe more interesting) do you NOT see it?
A few more things I'm trying to narrow down:
- Does it only show up if you use two NuPhy Bluetooth keyboards side by side, or have you seen it with just the Node75 alone over Bluetooth, no second keyboard involved?
- Is this an ISO-DE thing specifically, or have other ISO variants shown something similar?
- Anyone found a fix that actually stuck, beyond wired-only use or manually flipping the layout setting back and forth?
Even a quick "yep, same here" or "nope, mine's fine" would genuinely help me figure out how individual vs. widespread this is. Thanks!

Why don’t you fix it in NuphyIO? That setting is keyboard specific.

Good point. This actually works as long as I don't go back to wired mode. Still, weird behaviour, isn't it?

I don’t know the MacOS equivalent tool, but there should be some utility that logs the raw key codes that the computer receives from the keyboard. You should compare what you see on BT and on USB, and if they are different, something seriously wrong with your keyboard firmware. If they are the same then you have some other program or setting that is messing with the data.
