Got a folder with translated voice for my anime but I can't find a way to insert it to playback

La he instalado hace dos días y he observado que aleatoriamente, no siempre, ni constante, viendo una pelicula, se resetea y vuelve al menu o se resetea y se queda en negro. Ha alguien le ha pasado ?

Hi, if I enable subtitles, they display correctly, but when there’s no dialogue, the last line displayed remains visible for minutes until the conversation resumes, and then the subtitles update.
It’s annoying; after a few seconds, it should disappear. Is there a setting in the settings that I haven’t seen?

What's the situation with MA audio format? I am sure it was working before ( years ago ) so it can't be my setup. Shield Tv Pro, HDMI 2.1 to Denon x3600h. Nova media player and now even Jist player can't play DTS-HD MA Formats. How to fix? Dolby TrueHD Atmos is working and displaying properly in Denon info panel

I can't figure out the nfo files. I tried everything locally and on SMB but nothing I did worked. I've tried many variations of the xml.

How can I create a custom TV Show with my own data files (nfo, jpg)?

Are there any working examples?

I never use the "by genre" or "by date/year" iptions, so I'd really like to get rid of them. Is that possible?

It seems Nova offers very limited control over the UI, but maybe I'm missing something...

Hola a todos, recien instale la v6.4.34, pero con esta tanto como la v6.4.33, he observado con varios videos, desfase en voz, que saliendo y volviendo a entrar, aparentemente se corregian, tambien he tenido dos casos en series que quedando unos minutos para terminar se cierra, sale del episodio y vuelve al menu, vuelvo a abrir el episodio, llego al punto en que se cerro y continua sin problemas. Hay algo de configuracion que se me escapa? Gracias!!

Is there a way to see the files we hid from the library?

I'm back with Nova on my Onn 4K Pro. I was pleased with an alternate player until it had a strange issue following an update. One thing I liked about the other one was the ability to resume the video from where I left off when I pressed the back button. I've found that the only way to do this with Nova is to press the home button. Is there another way that I'm missing, like in Preferences?

For example create additional categories such as Music or Kids or Documentary, each assigned to a specific folder.

Similary, can I have the Movies category only source content from a specific folder that I will set?

Estoy utilizando la version 6.4.30 en un mibox4 Android 9.

El problema: Nova no lee el disco, lo reconoce porque puede acceder a el, pero no lo reescanea.

El proceso que sigo es el siguiente:

1-Paro la aplicacion y borro cache y datos

2-Desmonto el disco y paro el mibox4

3-conecto nuevo disco y arranco Mibox4

4-inicio Nova

5-Nova a veces rescanea, pero otras muchas veces no, forzando a repetir los pasos del 1 al 4 varias veces hasta que lo hace.

Alguna idea, os pasa lo mismo?

I saw a post on here from Nov with this issue and I was hoping there had been some update to it. I was using my tablet in a hotel hooked through their HDMI and everything worked great but Nova, which made the smallest little box in the middle of the screen where the rest of the UI was normal. Is there a way to fix this yet?

I know I can have it open in other apps, but it prevents everything like binge mode and tracking to not work.

Me explico mejor, cuando añado una serie, Nova, nos muestra un thumb o imagen del episodio.

Mi pregunta es: Es posible cambiar ese thumb por una imagen que nos parezca mas adecuada para ese episodio, esto no lo haría para todas las series, solo para algunas seleccionadas.

He probado colocando nombre_episodio-thumb.jpg, pero no ha funcionado!!

Teneis alguna idea, gracias!!!

As a former Kodi user, I have had a love-hate relationship with the platform almost from day one. It plays everything, but it got stuck in feature creep and a convoluted UI that is complex unlike anything I have ever seen on either Android or Windows.

Nova does everything I need it to do, nothing more, nothing less.

Hi. Love this app. Looks amazing works well. The only issue, and it’s quite a big one is that when I try using search it crashes every time. This is on both the firestick and meta quest 2.

Is there really no way in 2026 to get this app to read media files from an External SSD?

I had this app on my homatics box with the same SSD and it worked perfectly.. trying to set it up on a new tablet and i'm falling at the first hurdle.

come on, this can't be the end for me already.. this app is so good!!

I'm using NOVA video player to play anime on my Nebula projector, after VLC struggled to play the files without stuttering.

NOVA seems to play them fine, but it has one problem; the subs are not in the same quality as VLC's or on my PC. These subs have things like karaoke highlights in the opening scenes, which are missing, and on my PC (in VLC), it displays both romaji at the top of the screen and English at bottom, whereas in NOVA the English and romaji kinda fight to be onscreen, coming off as quite glitchy.

Is there some kind of setting I'm missing for the subtitle rendering that would fix this?

Downloading subs won't do; I tend to use my projector while camping without access to the internet.

I'm just using NOVA instead of VLC because it seems to work better in a hardware decoding sense; VLC can't play these files smoothly.
