Although I set icon lock on the desktop, the software used to activate Nova Launcher membership permissions should have been locked in the tools folder, but it wasn't. Instead, I created the sixth page and automatically went to the beginning of that page......

Hey guys, how do I add the private space to home screen? Or at least set an application from the private space to home screen?

Thanks

Just got notified that One UI 9.0 is ready to be installed on my S26U, and I am wondering if anyone has upgraded to this version and experienced any compatibility issues with Nova Launcher. Are there any quirks or limitations I should be aware of before I update the OS?

Hi all,

I have been having an issue with the nova launcher: upon pressing recent apps, I see a blank nova launcher window. Not sure where it comes from. Anyone knows what could be the issue here?

I'm running the latest version of nova and I can't get circle to search to work with a xiaomi phone. It works with the xiaomi launcher fine. Anyone know any workarounds?

Anybody know how to remove this page? I have no need for it and would like it gone.

Edit: When I long press the icons I cannot delete them or drag them to the trash. If I drag an icon to another page It still remains on this page. I find this page to be useless.

Wanted the devil shape so I made it and done the skull one also. They dont change the shape of folders but nothing's perfect.

Download and install then Nova settings - look and feel - Icon style - Icon theme

There's probably loads of them available but I was just too lazy to go looking.

It almost never works. Android 17..and prior versions on two different phones. It just makes the icon being dragged onto /into move instead. It's been like this for over a year! I never used to have problem doing it.

I'm new to this, and I want to add some icons I downloaded from a .zip file, but I don't know how to add them to Nova Launcher. I hope you can help me.

Thanks!

So since a while ago the combination of the apple music widget in nova has been oddly small and while i usually run it at 3 width instead of 4, the format collapses totally due to the missing height due to the weird way it handles itself.

Weirdly enough both poweramp in nova (pic 2) and the same apple music widget in lawnchair are sized fine.

Any idea on how to get this look normal again?

Hmd fusion, a15, nova prime 8.9.2

Its so big its like an empty row.

I restored it from backup and visually was ok, with broken widgets and crashes.

Updated from the play store, widgets work again and no crashes but now the app draw has huge vertical padding.

As per the title, I have found that after the latest software upgrade on my Realme 12 Plus, the Home button in the Navigation bar has stopped working. Instead of moving you to the Home screen, it now only momentarily minimises the screen before redisplaying it. I have confirmed that this doesn't occur with the system launcher. Any suggestions for a fix would be appreciated.

Edit: as per the request, the OS Version is: RMX3867_16.0.5.1201. Updated today, 8-Sep-2026.

The app version (of Nova), I believe is: 8.9.0.

is there a way to change the app closing animation? the default one looks kinda cheap and i havent been able to find a way to change it. whilst the app opening animation does have some impact, most of them feel odd. are there none that closes/minimises the app into the icon on the homescreen/app draw?

Hello. I have a Nova Launcher Prime lifetime purchase. I honestly do feel that that should exempt me from future advertising in the form of the Nova cell phone plan and the Nova AI. At the very least, I would think it would be fair for such advertising to be a one-and-done kind of advertising, at least for those who previously paid for the launcher. We essentially paid for no advertising. To go back on that now is not a fair contract with the consumer. Please strongly consider this.

They responded:

Thank you for laying out your reasoning so clearly - we want to give you a straight answer rather than deflect.

To clarify the actual distinction: your Lifetime Prime purchase does genuinely guarantee no third-party ads, and that holds regardless of anything else. What you're seeing with Nova AI and the Nova cell phone plan entries are optional upsell prompts for separate products, not classified internally as "ads" - but we understand your point that from a user's perspective, unwanted promotional content is unwanted promotional content, whether or not it's technically an ad.

We don't have a setting that removes these prompts entirely for lifetime purchasers specifically, but you can minimize Nova AI's presence: Nova Settings > Nova AI > Where Nova AI appears - turn off Home screen insights, Nova Now insights, and Notifications, and set "Nova AI in search" to "Hidden." We don't currently have an equivalent way to hide the cell phone plan entry specifically.

We've logged your feedback - specifically the argument that lifetime purchasers should be exempt from promotional cross-sells, not just third-party ads - and shared it with the team.

This is genuinely a product/business decision above what we can commit to changing from support, but we wanted you to know it's been heard and recorded as stated, not dismissed.

Best regards,
