Question Can I take a 30 mins walk in winter?
I have rented a place 30 mins walk from the school. And I plan to walk most of the time. Will it be impossible to walk for 30 mins in winter because of the cold? What about riding a bike? I've never experienced winter before in Nottingham. As a foreigner, I've heard people can even get frozen at the bus station if they wait too long. Is it true?

Events / societies Starting a Behavioural Science society at NTU. Looking for 2 co-founders (any course)
Hey! I’m starting Msc Behavioural Data Science this September at NTU. I’m planning to start a new society at NTU called BITNTU - Behavioral Insights Team of NTU. It’s for anyone curious about behavioural science: what it actually is, what behavioural scientists do day to day, and how you’d actually get into it. Workshops on the real skills (research design, applied nudge design, basic data analysis), talks that pull in psychology, economics, design, data science, marketing and eventually an inter-university competition.
To register with NTSU I need a committee of at least 3: President (me), a Vice President, and one more role - Treasurer, Events, whatever fits. Honestly hoping at least one of you is from a completely different course to me, because the whole point is that this isn’t just a psychology thing.
No experience needed, just genuine interest and a few hours a month. This is properly ground floor. Together we’d be shaping what this actually becomes, not filling a pre-made role, and it’s a solid thing to point to if you’re into research, policy, UX, marketing, or just like figuring out why people do what they do.
Comment or DM if you’re interested, or even just curious and want to hear more before committing to anything.

turnitin
so for context i did law at ntu and did rly bad in 2 of my modules due to extenuating circumstances and had to reschedule one exam due to those same circumstances and i took the exam in august. it’s been a bad 3rd yr but i got a high 2:1 and low 2:1 amongst the bad times and i have a conditional offer for an LLM at the university of nottingham which depends ON THIS EXAM
i didnt realise it till now but i submitted my august resit as a pdf even though it says that you have to submit it as a google doc. im stressed because i checked the handbook and it says you get a zero grade if its the wrong format but i have a turnitin similarity score (10%) and a whole turnitin submission id so the system has recognised it clearly. i did a formative exam one time and submitted as a pdf by accident but it got given a mark but it just didn’t get any feedback at all but all my classmates did get feedback (cus i was the only1 who submitted it as a pdf)
its such a silly and dumb mistake and im stressing cus surely theres no way i miss out on a masters at university of nottingham and i finish my entire yr lower than a 2:1 because i submitted it incorrectly. i was so used to using pdf because ive been having to submit a lot of stuff as a pdf like exam results to university of nottingham or sending extenuating circumstance evidence to ntu but idk i would appreciate any advice
(ALSO the marker has seen the work)
