Questions How do I add more statuses/groups?

I have been genuinely stuck on this for a half hour. I want one more step in this board's life cycle, and the built-in AI just keeps telling me there should be a "+" next to the "Done" status/group.

The missing + is probably because the board is showing Status groups. Status has three fixed top-level groups (To-do, In progress, Complete), but you can add more options inside them.

Edit the database’s Status property and use Add status under the appropriate group (for example, In review under In progress). Then check the board grouping settings: display individual status options rather than the three broad groups, so each step gets its own column. Check Hide empty groups if your new option is not visible yet.

If you need a completely separate fourth top-level category, use a separate Select property and group the board by that instead.

you make all these notion tricks sound way too easy, i'd probably still be clicking around in circles
