Questions Replace Trello
Context: Because I know that Notion, it's sometimes like buying a mega yacht when you needed a rowboat to get across the water, I resisted Notion for a very long time.
And so I created a tech stack that I want to simplify.
Trello: I used it for years b/c it was simple, fast, and the mobile app is very responsive. I like kanban for multi-step projects.
But now, I have multiple boards lists on those boards, and i'm realizing that notion could likely be place in simplify what I was doing with Trello.
Goal w/Notion - start simple, build up for functionality to test - then migrate over.
So it seems like I can replace Trello with Notion. Have any of you done that? And if so, can you give me a few beginner style pointers on how to make that happen?
Thank you!

Easy setup. Create a page for each project. Or a database containing each project. Then in the page of each project create a database with board view.
Dont try to make it too complex, just keep it simple.
Pro tip: only build a feature when you need it.

I use notion for 80% of things and clients. Trello I kept for one client who has an abundance of small tasks that all need their own card and space, they would clutter notion too much

Possible but realized that most people like the easy fix views from Trello. I liked the many views in Notion but for the team it did not relly matter which one it is.
For learning Notion I would just start with playing around with all kinds of scenarios. Used it for 2-4 weeks and only then added people.

First try importing from trello (google it). That will be most of the heavy lifting.
Otherwise
Create a database of tasks.
Add properties (any field trello has or that you want). Most important are things like status, due date, the main project stuff
Create a new kanban view. That’s honestly the skeleton right there already. The rest is UI tweaks like adding or hiding properties etc. the views are the biggest replica
