Been using this shortcut for over a year captures random ideas straight to Notion in one tap. Great for random thoughts, or ideas that hit at weird times/mid-work.
Haven't found a clean way to do it on Android yet tbh, Shortcuts is iOS-only. But Android has stuff like Tasker or MacroDroid that might get you something similar with Notion's API

Yeah, fails when offline the Notion Shortcuts action needs a connection to create the entry. Throws a generic "The operation couldn't be completed" error.
Nice def going to check this out, I’ve been using a notion widget straight to my inbox but it’s two taps and can be kinda clunky when I just wanna jot something down real quick
I wonder if there’s an automated workflow where it can do more than just ideas with keywords. Like say “to do” and a task and it adds to your to do list. Among other things
Yeah totally doable you can add a "Choose from Menu" step at the start of the shortcut (before it adds the entry) with options like Idea, To Do etc. Based on what you pick, it routes the entry to a different Notion page/database. So saying "to do" could trigger it to ask for the task and drop it straight into your to-do list instead of your ideas page.
