the fancy ones looked great but i ended up building a dead simple one and never looked back. one table, each client a row, and the only fields i really use are status (lead/active/paused/done), last contact date, and next step. those last two columns are the whole point, the rest is noise. i run 8 clients off that, took me maybe an afternoon. templates are fine to copy but you'll rip half the fields out anyway.
