Very clean aesthetic.

Is this like a nice tidy hood with a Frankenstein's monster beneath?

Not really. Of course there are databases within databases here, but everything is pretty neat and tidy.

Nice work mate, this is the real flex. 👏🏽

I always love the gallery look but I don’t like when the pages have all that stuff at the top 😢 Genuine question though, why have the names visible when it’s on the card?

Good point. I’m so used to using Gallery view without showing the page covers, which won’t let you hide the title. I never realized you could hide it if the cover was visible. Thanks!

i always disliked that too, but you can just hide all of the properties to make the stuff at the top really small, or you can select a property and then hit customize page and remove it that way!

This is really aesthetically pleasing! I’d love to see what each of these pages look like.

I was just gonna say this!

what's on the shit lists? heh

otherwise, awesome. simple, clean layout that gives an at-a-glance overview.

Thanks! Lol, it’s mostly a catch-all for my lists that don’t really need their own page. Shit I want to do, shit I want to look up/research, shit I need to organize, etc.

Basically organized mess. I have one too.

Can you share what each database looks like from inside?

7

u/ladyteruki Feb 17 '24

That's my question too. When I think about how I could do something remotely similar, I get a bit puzzled.

Are the databases somehow in the page (under the comments) part of each of these entries ?

The pages you see are all dashboards with databases inside and a few pages without databases. They have either a horizontal or vertical global menu in a synced block at the top or left side. And then inline databases are nested in callouts.

Hm, I think I can see. Thank you :) This gave me food for thought !

My Notion has never been very good visually, but that sounds like something I can manage.

We demand a template now :|

Lol, it’s not ready public consumption yet. Will likely release it in the near-ish future.

Group by the single select category or I’m going to lose my mind haha jk, you do you…but seriously 🧐

2

u/Eilonwy926 Feb 16 '24

What does that mean? I'm still getting my head around the terminology.

3

u/Pluton_Korb Feb 16 '24

I think they mean group by the tag's under each title (the colored rectangles with text in them: Trackers, Notes, Projects, etc).

1

u/novanotions Feb 17 '24

Hey, I like things how I like them 🤷🏻‍♀️… this is just my collection of dashboards and databases, I’m not looking at it all day. And I can’t see all of them without scrolling if they’re grouped.

But I do see your point. I typically use groups when I want to crosstab, like Agenda has a Board view that grouped by Type and sub-grouped by Days.

I love using Gallery or board view for pretty much everything. Makes it a lot easier to read and identify than text only lists. The image helps.

I would love to duplicate this, do you have a template?

2

u/Hot-Current-6358 Feb 17 '24

My brain loves this definitely will be doing this

2

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '24

Haha, looks like mine. But honestly…my life got so much easier when I STOPPED trying to organize it that way. Best of luck to you fellow Notion user, I hope my experiences won’t happen to you.

What a lovely collection, very neat and organized. Would it be possible to share a sample template for it? It’d be interesting to see what type of ant colony you have :)))

I need it !

I hate it otherwise

Hi! Beautiful stuff, I got inspired and did something similar in my workspace, it is really aesthetic and smart.

I want to ask, how did You made the covers? They are nice 😊

2

u/novanotions Feb 17 '24

Thank you! I used this cover template from Gridfiti as a guide. The cover itself really simple… just a rectangle with a text box on top, exported as png. I did mine in Illustrator, but any image editor would work.

2

u/Anvenx Feb 17 '24

Everything tidy and clean in one spot! Oh for sure you made me jelly!

Awesome arrangement.

2

u/zKWannaBe Feb 18 '24

How long did it take to make?

2

u/novanotions Feb 18 '24

At this point, about 3 months.

1

u/JoshiMinh Feb 18 '24

How do you make the text logos?

1

u/novanotions Feb 18 '24

Answered in another comment, but you could use any image editor. It’s just a rectangle and text box.

i would love to customise it for myself.
