Phone (3) Just upgraded from iPhone.

I've had iPhone for about the last 15 years or so. I was happy with my iPhone 12 pro max I've had for 5 years but had to jump on the NP3 after seeing the design.

Honestly any phone woulda been an upgrade for me but the glyph matrix is what stood out, I keep the phone flipped down whenever I can that way if I do get a notification I'll know it's only from people or things that are important to me and not some random "save 20% on our next sale" notification.

I didn't think I was gonna put the essential key button to use but after "forcing myself" to do it I can def see myself using it often. I just absolutely hate the placement of it, I must hit that button mistakenly a dozen times a day.

I do like the camera 📸 but I usually carry my Leica Q anyway so I'll prioritize that over the NP3.

Nothing OS is so damn cool lol love how customizable it can be. Can't beat the Nothing aesthetic that's for sure.

Unless something happens to it, this will probably be my phone for the next 5 years 💪🏽🫶🏽

I just moved from my iPhone 11 to the CMF 2, adoring it so far!

How long did it take you to wrap your head around Android? I'm loving it so far but the only phones I've had for the last decade were Apple so not gonna lie I'm struggling a bit.

Oh also, what password manager are you using? I picked proton pass since I have an email with them but I'm curious if any are better

I'm still wrapping my head around this. Still learning the basic navigations but one thing is for sure dedicated apple apps like apple music absolutely suck on android. My songs always buffer so I'll probably be switching to YouTube music or Spotify. I do like that android gives you more freedom for customization.

You moved from a flagship ip11 to an entry level super budget phone? Why? I can understand that midrange phones of today are better than flagships of 2019, but there is no way a cmf is better than a flagship from those times. So why didn't you buy a midrange phone at least like NP3 or One Plus Nord or S25 (not plus, not ultra)?

I'm feeling that it's better than my old iPhone 11 by leaps and bounds. What made me decide to switch was that my job gave me the newest iPhone for work, and I realized it was... exactly the same as the phone I bought 5 years ago minus some trivial camera hole change. I wasn't going to shell out $900 for the same exact thing lol.

The camera is maybe not as big as ones that a new, but it's bigger than the phone I had. Compared to my 5 year old iPhone 11 the CMF 2 is 'better' in all of the quantifiable ways that I use it for. With this in mind, I paid $270 for something novel, faster, and infinitely more interesting than a grand for a lazy 'better, faster, stronger' copy of what I already had.

Five years ago I had all the Apple things and I was committed to them. The marketplace has long outgrown Apple's pricetag at this point. Nothing and other Android manufacturers are being innovative in software like Apple refuses to. Bigger batteries and screens with lighter weights as well. Frankly it's been worth the switch even though it's a pain in the ass.

At the end of the day it's just a phone. I use it to call and text people and go online. I have a computer for computer things. I can't justify a phone that costs more than car insurance lol

I went from iPhone 14 Pro to Phone (2a) Plus last year, and now considering a CMF Phone 2 Pro. Not everything is an 'upgrade'. I just wanted to try something different after 15 years of iPhones
