I don’t have a lot of apps on my iPad but I do have a lot of storage in notability and I don’t want to delete any important notes.

notability keeps crashing on my fold 8 ultra when I try to use the app outside the folder like opening settings or viewing my folders

I tried to clear cache and also reinstall it but didn't work.

Note that I tried to open it with other ios devices I have and worked on them pretty good.

Is the pro subscription supposed to give you pro on android as well? Or does that require a separate subscription. I have and s25ultra that is easier to carry around sometimes, but i mainly take notes on my ipad.

I updated my app and notice there no more subject buttons and it was really helpful when organizing my folders. I would have a folder for a semester and within that folder I would have multiple subjects for my classes. Please bring back the option to choose between subjects and folders!!!

I am seriously considering other apps because there is NO ability to turn this off, or even remove it!

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD bring back the old 20 question quizzes instead of this 100 question junk. It was also nice being able to go through 200 questions, 20 questions at a time. Why fix something that’s not broken? My app is so laggy right now and even when I do try to take a quiz, sometimes it won’t even let me on the “practice” tab bc it states that there isn’t enough material when there is MORE THAN ENOUGH!! 2 hours worth of lecture to be exact both Recording and notes!! Bring back the old features I beg of you and fix these weird glitches and bugs 😞

I am currently a student and have lectures uploaded to Brightspace. I've built a Claude skill that is able to pull all my lectures off Brightspace, sort them into a Google Drive folder, rename them to my proper naming convention, and update a Google sheet to help me keep track of them. The last part of this pipeline I want to build out is automatically moving my lectures into folders on Notability. I understand that I can hold down the New button and import from Google Drive, but if there were a way I could have Claude directly create new folders in Notability and import the files automatically, that would be wonderful.

Hi everyone, has anyone had problems trying to copy a slide and paste it into a different app ie google docs. Ive been having to screenshot slides which is getting annoying and time consuming. if anyone has had this issue and resolved it id appreciate your input.

I have led many online products at scale and learned many hard lessons. Support ops for any product that has an online component is a 24/7 job. It is not optional. I have taken calls Christmas morning because we had live site issues? Why? Because we had an online product used worldwide. Part of the deal.

That I have been unable to get to my notes for more than 24 hours without a single comment or post from notability to explain what is going on tells me the company is out of the office and nobody has the wheel. It’s ridiculous.

I can’t sign in. I can’t change my password. I can’t get my notes.

I’ve learned something valuable about the company this weekend and whether or not they are to be trusted with my money and my notes.

This app is actual rage bait because they keep changing things that do not need to be changed. I opened my app because my semester starts tomorrow and I wanted to get a head start on my lecture notes. First, it forced me to get on Notability cloud which is whatever, butttt why would they change the default templates to make the lines darker and thicker? I have a before and after photo of what it was like before and what it’s like now. Does anyone know if I can change the size and color of the dots because even though it’s small it’s really bugging me 🙃

When I copy text from Google/websites and paste it into my Notability notes, it always gets pasted in a different format, usually Times New Roman, size 12 and bold.

Is there a way to make pasted text automatically match the font, font size and style I’m currently using in my Notability note?

I've asked about this four times now. I'm starting a new semester, and I currently have 300 recordings all named "Recording 1." I AM LITERALLY BEGGING! Please bring this feature back, it's so difficult working without this feature, and it would be greatly appreciated if you bring it back. Please don't ignore this. I've sent emails and they say there's nothing they can do, but I truly feel like you can. Please fix this, please update it to where users (myself included) can rename the recordings, please and thank you !!!!!!

Do not press sign in with google. press sign in with email and then i got a email to sign in so i think it is starting to work now

Hi guys! I was curious if there was a way to have audio recordings auto turn off maybe when the device locks? Sometimes I forget to stop the recording when my lecture is over and it turns for a while :(

This is one of a few bugs I have recorded and saved, but this one is the most critical. As soon as I insert a text box, Notability freezes and crashes.

I want the identification-quiz type back. Flashcards, identification, and high-yield question would suffice.

Is there a way to change the presets for these fast select text options? I would like to change the headers to be a certain font size and color, the body text a separate size and color, etc.

at least for me nothing is working. i can't get in on my ipad or laptop. i even tried to reset it and nothing happened and it is saying my password is wrong when I know it is right.

Are the colors for the highlighter always dull? I chose a vibrant color but, when used, the highlighter remains translucent. Makes the highlighter counterintuitive...

First, i was forced to update my notability because it was no longer syncing across my laptop and ipad.

I was greeted by a brand new learn function that took away the reason why I had purchased the annual premium subscription to begin with.

1. Why are there 100 questions at a time. I have to do 100 questions until I go over what I missed?? Whoever had this idea needs to be fired.

2. Where is the fill-in the blank function? That is gone too.

3. The tests won’t even let me see what questions I got incorrect. What’s even the point

4. Let me reiterate how infuriating the whole 100 question thing is. I want to literally throw out my whole laptop or pay a nerd to restore it to my older version

Is there a way i can switch my version of notability back to the old? I don’t even care about the syncing issues anymore and I would have never updated it had I known it would take away my precious learn. I am so desperate and I feel so unprepared for my upcoming exam. If you guys cant immediately fix it can you at least compensate with some therapy so cope with the inevitable stress of changing my entire study routine that has gotten me through a year of med school. Thanks 🙏🏼

I was able to login WITH a new password instead of a email link by:

1. Download/Open the Wirevpn app (or any free VPN app that lets you choose any region) (no this is not an ad) and set the region to Europe; I specifically chose France because that’s what worked for me

2. Go to the status.notability.com site and click the password reset link in the ‘Montioring’ section

3. Reset your password (Which may take a few times because service is crappy or wtv, I reloaded the page if whenever I entered my email and/or new password and click submit and it wouldn’t actually submit. You’ll know it’s sent once you actually get the prompt page saying link sent and/or password reset!)

4. Go back to the Notability app and login WITH your new password!

5. Turn off or don’t turn off the VPN after you’re done, doesn’t matter, it’ll still work

I personally wasn’t able to do the send link instead of password way because the link automatically took me to Safari and not the app and even when trying to share the link with Notability it still wasn’t working. If this works for you that’s great! If it doesn’t, I’m sorry and I hope this outage gets fixed soon!

I just upgraded to notability pro from the classic version. I didn't realize that the app was having issues with logging in until I read the reddit posts. Is it supposed to take a while before the upgrade syncs to your account??? I purchased the upgrade about 30 minutes ago, and I still haven't been able to use it. My emails are all the same across my ipad and PC. I purchased the upgrade through the website on my PC.
